Hey guys! As many of you know school is starting really soon, most people have already started but I'm starting the 6th. As the school year comes I will be less active on the forums and in game, as I have homework and other things to do. I will be entering 8th grade so yay last year of middle school. This year I will be working very hard because like I said last year of middle school I wanna do well.
Also I have not found much joy in Minecraft, as I have felt it has become boring in the last few weeks. I have also been feeling a bit sad lately and don't want that to effect any of my friends in real life or in game friends. Minecraft has become a big part of my life the past 2 years and I've realize how much of my real life I have missed.
As a diverse student, in a very low income community I have always been known to standing up for others, as well as for myself. Having this natural drive i found myself taking a huge role in our high school Beta Club. As a natural leader, I was challenged with the opportunity to represent our high school’s Beta Club Chapter while running for North Carolina Beta Secretary. Although I felt experienced as a leader, I was really nervous to get up in front of all of North Carolina and give a speech at the Beta Club convention. Although I was nervous, I opened my mouth, and the words just began to come out. My fears went away, and I addressed everyone on topics of educational improvements and opportunities for all students to succeed. I used this
First off I would like to congratulate everyone for making it this far. I would like to thank my classmates, my friends, and my family. I especially want to thank our teachers, for always supporting and encouraging us. If it weren’t for the people who support us daily, we would not be where we are today. I would like everyone to turn to their families, and teachers to thank them for all that they have done for us.
Dear administrators, teachers, parents, beloved friends, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 8th grade graduation. It’s a pleasure to be standing in front of you today on this beautiful day to express the happiness we all feel.
Hello fellow classmates, teachers, staff, and parents; I am Colette Do. Welcome to Bancroft’s Class of 2017 promotion. Middle school has been preparing us for the future ever since Day One. Not only has middle school helped us mature, but it also taught us many life lessons that I will always cherish. Thank you to all the teachers, staff, and administration that have guided us through these three years. You were our inspiration that kept us going even through our struggles. Thank you to our parents for supporting us from the start and never giving up on us.
My class has been going good. We are getting a ton of homework, but that is fine. Its something that keeps me busy. I have to say that I am excited for next quarter, but at the same time I am not. It is going to require so much of my time. I still plan on Blogging during school. This is something that calms me. However I am probably going to be changing up the days that I commit to blogging. I will try to post at least 4 times a week but I am going to commit to uploading posts Monday, and Saturday. If I can get more posts prewritten then I would love to upload 4 a week or more. That may be something that I will try to do to prepare for that. As of right now I will be getting back to my normal schedule, and my new schedule will start In April.
I hope you're school year is off to a great start of your school year. My third week of school at Chinquapin is now starting and it has been different VERY different from public school. There have been some adjustments that I’ve had to get use to like having 3-4 hours of homework every night and being away from home. However, from these two weeks I’ve learned a lot from doing chores and learning life skills to being in the classroom learning about the current events in Latin America.
I am currently in 8th grade at MIwee Middle School but just recently moved from Teague Middle School, not but Two months ago. The trip will be here before we know it, and I wanted to give you a heads-up regarding ticket prices, hotel rooms, etc...
Thank you for your time with me tonight. It was short but I'm very grateful that I had a chance to talk to you.
Congratulations on completing sixth grade! Thank you for working hard this year. Teaching English to your class was always fun and interesting because each and every one of you participated and had a good time. I had an amazing experience working with everyone. Since all of you worked so hard, I always looked forward to coming back to Hayuka Elementary School.
I remember when I was in Middle School, my teacher told me that I had to write and recite a speech in front of the whole school and four judges. The speech that I had to recite was about the career I wanted to study when I started attending college. In that moment, I was feeling very nervous about the speech and also worried that the message I gave that day was going to be successful and approved by the school and judges. The recitation of the speech was a week away, and it was vital for me to acknowledge everything about the encoding of my speech.I started thinking about my communication techniques to use in the recitation. Since the judges were ethical listeners, I needed to give my best in the speech in order to obtain a positive and constructive
Hello from past Kiersten. How’s senior year? Hopefully you have benign teachers and you’re not overly stressing about homework or your GPA (even though I know you most definitely are). Freshman year must've seemed like a breeze compared to junior and senior year, eh? Hopefully you’ve gotten cooler and have refrained from saying things like “eh”. Anyway, freshman year was very stressful. It seemed like the teachers showed apathy toward us with all of the homework they assigned and the novels we were forced to read and analyze. The majority of my freshman year was filled with (unnecessary amounts) stress which engendered many sleepless nights. I probably spent 85% of my year feeling lethargic. You’re probably laughing in derision at the fact
Welcome new 8th grader who has taken my place in this class. I'm basically writing this just so you can have a warning, about this class before it's too late. Good luck you're going to need it. By the way, these letters are really written by past eighth graders.
I am delighted to be here with you today, as you start the first Conference on Research in Distance and Adult Learning in Asia (CRIDALA 2000). I congratulate the Open University of Hong Kong and its Centre for Research in Distance and Adult Learning (CRIDAL) for this endeavour. I am told that the conference will focus primarily on Asia, but the participants, over 100, have come from all over the world --- the subject is surely of global importance. Let me therefore add a word of welcome to the overseas participants. I wish you a pleasant stay in Hong Kong and fruitful deliberations at the conference.
Every day starts the same way. My alarm screeches at me to restart my cycle by getting up. The T.V from the first floor, always on channel 12, blasts the news about what is happening around us. Ignoring it as always, I sprint down the stairs into the kitchen to inhale the savory smell. My mother, who is always on top of things, is preparing my breakfast. Making sure that I can never have a peaceful breakfast, she ensures that I receive my daily speech. “Do not talk to strangers, Rachel. Do not reveal where my family is from, Rachel. Do not do anything where the police can be involved, Rachel.” Truly, after the hundreds and hundreds of times she has recited this speech, I suddenly lose the meaning of those statements, but I brush it off and continue my daily round.
