The north region of Flagstaff is mostly volcanic rocks, like basalt. However, the west region of Flagstaff is mostly made up of limestone and again, basalt. Some of the geologic wonders that you can see here in Flagstaff are the San Francisco

Wes Moore, the author, is living a meaningful life that brings about a positive change in the world, thanks to repeated positive actions. Of that series of decisions, the most significant in the determining of his fate was continuing military school after his first year. The self-discipline and desire to better himself the school inflicted proved to be crucial in leading as positive of a life as he does. Role models in that environment ignited a flame of diligence in Wes, “…the support of people like Cadet Captain Hill and the others in my chain of command and on the faculty…made it clear that they cared if I succeeded, and eventually so did I.” (Moore 115). Initially, Wes hated military school, saying he, “woke up furious and went to bed even more livid.” (Moore 90). Despite his hatred for the place at first, his mother’s encouragement, as well as blunt refusal to bring him home, kept
Oil spills are a major problem in america, but the government doesn’t want you to know that. Just like how they didn’t want you to know that “People that worked on the 2010 oil spill cleanup have reported eye, nose, and throat problems, blood in the urine, seizures, vomiting, nausea, respiratory issues, skin problems, liver and kidney problems, nervous system damage, miscarriages, and other health problems.”(SoftSchools). Now imagine what will happen to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe once their drinking water becomes toxic after putting in the Dakota Access pipeline. Although Trump and the big banks are supporting the Dakota Access Pipeline, activists like the Native Americans and stars like Shailene Woodley are standing up for what is right, such as clean water and peace.
The 2016 Presidential Campaign candidate, Bernie Sanders, believes in creating a better America. In proving to the American people, rich and poor, how great the country can be if all people vote for who is trusted best as future President of the United States. The political figures in government care about money and wealth, not the people. Bernard Sanders would be the best choice for President for the main reason that he is concerned about the issues in America that create inequality for the people. The issues addressed by this candidate will create social and economic equality.
Hey Coach, Iowa State is going great. The classes are alright, but I enjoy going to most of them. I am taking advantage of the facilities and I am back in the weight room. All the techniques and lifts you taught me are really making it easier now that I am lifting without a coach. I thank you for all the time and effort you put into the lifting program so I know what I am doing here at Iowa State. The main reason that I am writing you is to share this with the seniors at North Scott High School. Particularly, the seniors who are struggling to pick the place they will be spending the next four years of their lives. It is the beginning of the school year and the seniors who already have a plan are ready to go but the seniors who don't are scared for the future. I encourage the

Throughout “The other Wes Moore”, The Wes’ were faced with surprisingly similar situations that were handled in very different ways. These situations were key turning points in each of their lives and shaped them into who they are. Even though each Wes had hardships in their environment and faced many trials and tribulations, ultimately, their choices during these times are what produced each Wes. Because of their series of different choices that each Wes Moore made during their lifetime and the outcome of their choices, we are not just products of our environments, but also products of the choices we make.
Artifice; the chicanery committed everywhere yet perceived by so few. Unfortunately, easily deceived Americans have engendered a reality replete with this phony yet prevalent skill pinpointed in numerous aspects of today’s society. In his book Empire of Illusions, Chris Hedges argues that “the most essential skill . . . is artifice,” ranging from political theater to consumer culture. In Hedges’ quote, essentiality is best defined as unfortunate but necessary, as artifice causes undesirable effects on a person's conscience. Although the idea of artifice is exceptionally useful and even imperative in many political, economical, and cultural spheres, gun control politics are a prime exception. In present day America, the controversial topic
