What Does It Mean To Be A Hero?

“Heroes represent the best of ourselves, respecting that we are human beings. A hero can be anyone from Gandhi to your classroom teacher, anyone who can show courage when faced with a problem. A hero is someone who is willing to help others in his or her best capacity.” (Ricky Martin). Being a hero can shape a community as a whole, some people can make a positive impacts but somehow the hero's might not even be recognized and be unscathed of any praise. But also some people consider others heros but do not fit in necessary . A hero is someone who influences makes a positive impact on a person or community.

Heroes can come in all shapes and forms, from all walks of life, anyone can be a hero. However, what exactly does it mean to be a hero? Being a hero means to do the right thing regardless of the outcome. A hero can be anyone we look up to, fictional or real, as long as they do the right thing. An example of this would be Erwin Rommel, a World War Two German general. Since he was a German he was fight for his motherland, not for the ideology of the Nazis. He was just a man defending his country from foreign invaders. War is a time were people have to commit vicious crimes against other people to defend their own people, so killing others is a normal thing. Erwin Rommel had to do what he had to do however, he never obey the orders from his superiors

Some may believe a hero is a person who fights evil and saves people. In reality, it is more than than that. A hero is someone who fights for what they believe in, they are courageous, fight for the greater good, and above all, would sacrifice their life to save the lives of many. For example, in The Odyssey, a hotshot is shown in the life of Odysseus. While many believe Odysseus was a great figure and leader, he was far from that. He failed his crew, and for one reason only, he was not the chieftain his men needed.

To be a hero, you cannot be selfish or self-centered, you need to be selfless and helpful towards others. A hero is someone who is strong, brave, and fearless. They will always be there to help you, and will never shy away when you’re in time of need. Heroism is giving up something, to help a person in need. Hero’s never back down.

A hero is someone that will risk his or her life for others. In the movie Stand by me, the boys are heroes because they risked their lives trying to find the missing boy.

For instance, a hero will show a big amount of bravery toward something if he/she is not prepared or ready for that adventure. For example, in Love Triumphs: 6-Year-Old Becomes a Hero to Band of Toddlers, Rescuers, Deamonte Love was a six year old child who had to put in a lot of bravery toward something he was, just not quite ready for. Love was in charge of six little kids! One being, five months old, and five toddlers. The toddlers ¨followed him as if they were his leader¨. A hero will also, self-sacrifice himself, to make anyone safer. Whether it is, having to save someone from falling off a cliff, or even someone from drowning. A hero is someone who is able to give others hope when all hope seems lost. They are able to overcome fears, and no matter what the challenge faced they can carry on. Hero’s inspire others despite their own pain, and anyone could be a hero by doing one generous task.

He does not seek after the majority, but seeks after what is just, even when justice is not to his convenience.

What is a Hero? A hero is a person that helps another person, saves people that are in trouble. But that’s not all they do. They can be leaders and show respect to others, show kind, and cares for others. Probably everyone has a hero that would help them or save them when they are in trouble. Put in a another way, there is always going to be hero for you. For example, to never let anyone be your hero with you can't trust them or that they will never be there for you, when you need them.
