What Does It Mean To Have Good Character Traits?

I think that good character is very important in life because it shows who you are as a person, how you carry yourself as a person and how you treat other people. Having good character is what I believe you need to be successful in life, having good character can cause you to get a good job, possibly getting a raise in your job, making friends and just doing the right thing in general.

I believe there’s the thought of having a correlation between an individual’s physical appearance and his/her achievements, abilities and/or psychological well-being, but I do not think it occurs. However, since this thought is very common, attractiveness interacts with other status characteristics such as education, income, social status, and occupational prestige to create a positive or negative perception of an individual.

Character is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual, though morality is subjective, in today’s society it is predominantly agreed upon that someone who is of good character has certain qualities that contribute to their decision making, trustworthiness, and intelligence. I previously mentioned prudence, which is the ability to govern oneself by the use of reason to make good judgements that allow you to avoid troublesome situations, which allows one to face the adversities of life while only encountering necessary risks. Integrity is also very important. Having bad integrity could make you very non-trustworthy to others. Having good integrity would make you very trustworthy to others. Knowing how important they are, you should always have good or even better character, morals, and integrity.

We are presented with choices every day. Many are easy to make and cause very little stress, but some choices can be extremely difficult and have significant consequences. The difference between making the right choice or the wrong one is often determined be a persons character, which is based upon the qualities of integrity, responsibility, and honesty. Gaining an understanding of these three character traits and how to build them is critical to creating a lifetime of positive outcomes.

What is character? Character is something that is hard to explain. It is who we are, the way we act, and the kind of person we truly are and want to be. Character is what you are in the dark. But if character is the kind of person you are when no one is looking, then why does it matter? Character matters because even when we think no one is looking, they are. People are always watching us and the way we behave and many will look to us in admiration and inspiration, so it is our job to constantly be a role model of good character. A couple of ways that we can show our character are through gratitude and respect, but we can also look up to others, such as Benjamin Franklin, as role models for good character.

I chose loyalty as my first pillar of my “Six Fundamental Pillars of Character” because loyalty has been something I have cherished for my entire life. I believe being a loyal friend and/or family member is the most important characteristic for anyone to have. I believe this because if one does not have loyalty, what is their purpose?

We should mot judge the people based on their appearance because the appearance will not tell how the person is the person without the good appearance he will have a good talents and success in his life the appearance is a just the way what we see but based on the appearance we can't judge the people the people who have a good character and behaviour he will be success in his life if a person who don't have a good character but his appearance is good the person will not have a good future

I personally think that image isn't more important than substance. People often think that they have to look good to be a good person. In reality people don't have to look good to be a good person at least to me. Some people may think that because people who don't look good are often overlooked. They are overlooked because they are seen as being different from those who dress nice and fancy. They think they're different because they don't look or dress like them.

These six pillars of character are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. Particularly, a person is said to be trustworthy when he or she has integrity, keeps promises and loyal. An ethical person knows how to respect other people and their ideas. Although overweight and unattractive people may get paid just as much in some places, thin and good-looking people get paid more in others. How you look affects your entire life. You are being judged every single day, and you judge people back. Thin and good looking people get a huge advantage when it comes to this situation. It's possible overweight people might work way harder, but in this society, looks are more important than how well you do your job.

Personally I see this world of salesmanship and such value being put on image everyday in the world of business. Sad but true, that many employers hire first off based on what that candidate looks like as they walk up to the interview room. Image without substance; what ever happened to what that

Be it in the professional or the personal life, a man / woman needs to have a good personality to climb that ladder of success.
