For years it has been debated whether Bigfoot is indeed real. Many who claim to have seen him swear that he is. However many are skeptical and say he is nothing more than an urban legend. But what evidence is there, if any at all?
One thing that many find hard to dismiss is the amount of people who claim to have seen him. Most people dismiss this as crazy stories. But some of these stories don't sounds so crazy. A large number of these sighting have even been caught on camera. The most known of all of these is the Patterson-Gimlin film. This video shows what seems to be a Bigfoot walking through the camera shot. However like any other legend many people created hoaxes to trick people into believing that it's true, and many say that this
Performing extensive research, I located and listened to any recording I could locate of a Bigfoot speaking. Mary Green’s book “50 Years with Bigfoot: Tennessee Chronicles of Co-Existence” was also used as a reference. Mary had compiled a dictionary of “Bigfoot” words, along with phrases based on a notebook kept by Janice Carter.
Big Foot was the chief of a subtribe of the Lakota called Miniconjou. He was very old and had pneumonia. He was taking his tribe to the Pine Ridge Reservation in south-western South Dakota.
Leaving the area of the “Infrasound encounter”, I venture down a long narrow trail, investigating an area on the lake shore. Lurking in this area were at least three Bigfoot that I would soon encounter. The following is this account taken from my book “The Bigfoot Field Journal – Volume 1.”
The tale of Bigfoot or Sasquatch traces its origins back to the Native American tribes of the Northwestern part of the United States and Canada. The natives told this tale of a group of giant hairy wild ape-man like people that protect the forests to give reason for respecting nature and preserve order. Bigfoot sightings have spread throughout the United States and the world. Our fascination with this creature have spiraled into almost mass hysteria among people to find and prove this creature is real. I decided to observe and analyze the film Bigfoot.
Justin Smeja and the driver of the vehicle observed a Bigfoot standing in a small meadow approximately eighty yards from the road.
Bigfoot is NOT real. There is no evidence that he is part human, there is no DNA evidence, and there is no valid video or picture evidence that proves he is real. He is just a legend that has been passed down for years. It’s impossible for something that is 7-10 feet tall, covered in fur, and lives in the woods can survive for so long.
I experienced the Bigfoot language first hand in August of 2011, when colleague and good friend David Paulides visited East Tennessee for a few days. He was here to investigate and do research for his book series, “Missing 411.” Dave and I had a great time, and many interesting events happened during his visit. We investigated both of my research areas, but the most interesting occurrence happen in the Great Smoky Mountains National
For over a 150 years man has been troubled by one great mystery, a mystery that has baffled all who have witnessed it and all who have tried to solve it. This mystery is commonly known as Bigfoot, a tall hairy man/ape who lurks in the woods in almost every country on this planet. Some say it is just an ape, some believe it is a man in costume, and others are true believers of this hairy phenomenon. For more than a decade and a half this creature of myth has caused enormous contradictions in the field of science, bringing about one question. Does Bigfoot exist?
A majority of the questions a Bigfoot quester might be asked is, what evidence shows us that this mythical creature actually exists today? According to the BFRO(Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization), the most recurring evidence that they have is the plentiful amount of witnesses. Witnesses are the people that say they have had an encounter with the mythical Bigfoot. The Patterson-Gimlin film, is said to be the strongest evidence of Bigfoot. Scientists have been evaluating the film for over 40 years, and they have not yet came up with an answer, on whether it's a hoax or if the film is actually showing us an actual Bigfoot. Many people have confessed to being the man in the suit, but scientists say it is
The quest began when Bigfoot was captured on film for the first time by Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin. In the year of 1967, the two men were out in a remote mountainous location in Northern California. After Patterson heard about the tracks found near Bluff Creek, he was determined to make a documentary about the mysteries of the Sasquatch. Buoyant, he rented a 16mm movie camera and went to the area in question with his comrade, Bob Gimlin. He caught the beast on camera casually strolling through an open clearing, staring at Patterson filming while continuing to walk. The film became known as the Patterson-Gimlin film. According to Animal Planet, "The Patterson-Gimlin film is widely regarded as one of the strongest pieces of evidence for the existence of Sasquatches,” (“The Patterson-Gimlin footage”).
Author, Benjamin Radford believes the Internet had a lot to do with the myth of the Chupacabra. The Internet spread the Chupacabra myth around the world and it was picked up by UFO enthusiasts who latched onto the story and propelled the it even
Bigfoot, is he real or is he just a myth and hoax. Some call it Bigfoot and others call it Sasquatch, but no matter what you call he is real and not just a hoax. The legend of Bigfoot goes as far back as ancient Indian tribes. There is not a lot of evidence on Bigfoot's existence how ever the evidence that does exist is enough to convince people that he is real. If you don't believe in Bigfoot im not going to tell you that you are wrong, I just want to tell the other side and hopefully convince the non believers that Bigfoot is not a hoax. There are certain things that one should hear about Bigfoot before making the conclusion that he is fake. Bigfoot is just a large bipedal ape, who can be traced back to other bipedal apes who existed hundreds of years ago.
The Bigfoot name has been documented throughout history. Ancient native americans have writing and pottery with a Bigfoot type creature painted and or carved into them. This proves that Bigfoot has been seen for many years. Americans today describe Bigfoot in the same way as the native americans; tall, hairy, and man like. This proves that we aren't the only ones who have seen Bigfoot. Also, around 1 to 9 million years ago a Bigfoot like creature called the Gigantopithecus did exist. This means that the gigantopithecus could have evolved into what we all now know as Bigfoot.
Although the specifics of Bigfoot may be vague, almost every culture has had its own stories regarding the human-like creatures that roam the world.
The first explanation that verifies why Bigfoot is fake is because of the lack of evidence. For example, according to the Fox article, no evidence in the form of fossils have ever existed. Also, "There's no hard evidence in the form of bones. There are no hair samples, there are
