Coal is a non-renewable resource that we use to power different things from houses to trains and get our electricity from. In order to convert coal into electricity there are multiple steps in which your have to take. First, you have to mix ground coal with hot air which is then transferred into a furnace. A furnace is an inclosed area in which materials can be heated to a very high temperature inside of the furnace. The hot air and ground up coal will then heat a boiler which contains water inside of it.
