Andrea was probably that person who was scared everything. She didn’t like things that were bigger than her.She was especially scared of horses.Andrea’s cousins Carlos and Pablo already knew how to ride a horse..and so did her brothers and sister.Andrea was basically the only one who didn’t know how to ride a horse.
She hated the fact that she had to learn how to ride a horse. She had to learn or she would have to stay with her grandpa, and she didn’t want to stay because he could be really mean sometimes.Even though she wanted to go Andrea still refused to ride a horse. She thought she would get injured badly if she fell off and got hit like how it happened to her cousin Carlos.
Her grandma wanted her to learn how to ride a horse

I have a surprise for you!” “I’m coming!” As she walked downstairs Andrea wondered what the surprise was.”Ta-Da!” Andrea was speechless. All she saw was a beautiful white horse standing in front of her. Then she starts to get nauseous and told herself i’m not going to get nauseous i’m going to ride this horse!”
As she put her foot on the saddle Andrea felt the freshly made saddle with the smoothest leather she has felt since her mom had a horse. When she got on the horse she lost her balance a little “whoa!” “calm down! Nothing is going to happen.’Andrea and her dad start to get on the path where they usually walk in.”It’s starting to get dark we should head back because I don’t want puma’s or snakes following us.” they got back and then heard rustling in the grass. “Ah must be the wind.”
They put the horses in their pen and then went to go eat dinner. While they were eating they heard one of the horses screech in terror. Andrea ran outside as fast as she could and saw that a puma was in front of andrea’s horses! She grabbed a piece of meat from inside than ran outside to throw the piece of meat. When the puma ran for the meat she and her family started stacking bricks in front of the horses pan so the puma wouldn’t get in.Her dad high fived Andrea and said “This is going to take sometime to get use
Although those negative comments were her major conflict, this negativity also benefitted her in a way. If it wasn’t for those fights in which she would get into, she would not spend as much time as she liked with her grandma. With all the time spent with her Grandma, she was able to find a relationship through cooking with her. “Abuelita
“ The collection clip-clopping of horseshoes against the gravel synched with the rhythm of Massie’s heart-beating delivering a hint of harmony to a situation that had been stressing her out for days she took, deep cleansing breaths intthroughthenose…. aaaand…outthroughthemouth”(Harrison 8). In the book so far, Massie and her friends are at a horseback riding camp. There is a competition for jumping and Massie put leather glue on her saddle, which is against the rules. Massie got kicked out of the camp. In this journal I will be predicting and some visualizing things in the book.
Armed with her best parasol, she left the house after briefly saying goodbye to her extremely distraught father. Their carriage made it’s way to the fair and dropped them at the front, but after less than two hours perusing the grounds, another storm rolled in. The rain came fast and hard, drenching the pair within minutes. They huddled under the scant protection their umbrellas offered while waiting for the coach. Once inside, they giggled and began peeling off their more delicate accessories, gently laying them out while assuring each other the wet would not harm their
The thundering sound of hooves echoes in my ears as my horse comes barreling down the hill toward me. My whistle had caused him to go crashing through the tall grass and Queen Ann’s Lace in search of me once again. Coming to a sliding stop in front of me, I gently stroke his muzzle. Letting my hands glide over his fuzzy neck and into his jet black mane, I grab ahold and throw myself onto his strong back. We go running through the pasture, scattering wild rabbits and sending sparrows a flight. I watch them fly overhead, their brown wings leading them to rest in the big oak tree that my horse and I come to a halt underneath.
From the start of the novel, the reader can notice some complexity with the character Mariam. Battles are constantly fought within her head: what do to do or what not to do, what she knows is right and what she thinks is best. This complexity, however, demonstrates the round characteristics Mariam holds. This quote shows the complex relationship that Mariam has with her father, a man who did not raise her and did not legitimize her. She once worshipped him and even chose him over her mother, the person who raised her, but as a result lead to her mother's suicide. Ultimately, her mother's death gave her the opportunity to live with her father, something she longed for, but the outcome disappointed her as he was quick to get rid of her. Through this, she comes to the realize her mother's past warnings about her father only being a “father” for penance, was true. Therefore, her character develops from a small little girl whose love for her father is so strong it blinds her, to a somewhat matured young adult whose eyes have finally opened to the realities and cruelties of the world.
As Alaih and parents have passed through the security and check, they started walking down the hall to the airplane, and her mother asked “ Alaih, are you ready?” She responds saying “ not really, i’m kinda scared” “don’t worry, when we arrive you will love it there.” After a ride of 3 hours and 55 minutes on the plane, they have 5 minutes until it lands and Aliah opened her window to see the beautiful view, and she sees the bright hot sun reflecting off her pretty white hijab and very tall buildings in the city. The smile on her face stretches across her face because she’s enjoying the view of Houston Texas. One thing that has caught her eyes are these beautiful white horses which are Aliah’s favorite animal. “ Ma,ma, look!” Aliah surprisingly sees. “ What, what?” Her mother question. “ They have Camarillo White Horses!!” Alaih knew they were Camarillo White Horses because she noticed that they have a pinkish color skin. “ I need all passengers to buckle to your seat belts and prepare for landing.” The flight attendant announces. When the family had arrived into their new apartment, Aliah’s parents went to go sign her up to a new school which begins tomorrow. After they accepted Aliah, they went out shopping for her supplies. Although Aliah was scared and sad because she moved, she started to feel happy as she was picking her supplies. She was very excited and
In The Ballad of the White Horse by G. K. Chesterton one of the main characters is King Alfred of England, the legendary savior of England from the invading Danes. The book is set in the ninth century AD. He is accompanied in battle by Eldred, a Saxon farmer, as well as Mark, a Roman, and Colan, a Celt. While Alfred originally feels despair over his efforts to drive away the Danes, the Blessed Virgin Mary appears to him in a vision and tells him that he is to continue. G. K. Chesterton named the book after a symbol in England, a white horse cut out chalk that must constantly be cleaned of encroaching weeds. To him, it symbolizes Christianity’s struggle against eroding pagan forces. The ballad questions and discusses the opposing worldviews
A seemingly great tavern recently opened in Newport, Rhode Island. Located at the corner of Farewell and Marlborough Streets, the tavern
Rachel walked Guiness down the metal, studded ramp. When I saw him I felt so many different emotions; happy that he was here, nervous as it had just hit me that I was now responsible for my first horse and also sadness as I could see that Rachel was devastated to give him up, and that she was just about holding herself together. Together, we walked him around to show him his new home and tried to settle him but I could tell that he was anxious and scared, breathing heavily and looking around, obviously sensing that something unusual was happening. Eventually he relaxed and started to munch away at this hay. I kept my distance as Rachel said her goodbye’s. We waved her off as she left with the empty horse-box, tears running down her cheeks.
Running faster and wilder than the horses she was racing and was changing faster than a frightened chameleon’s colors, she dreamed of her adventures. By merely catching sight of her sporty vehicle, the girl was transported out of a musty and dingy garage, and she became the heroine of worlds only she could see. She tiptoes towards her shining bike, ignoring the house rule of never biking alone. She speeds like a bullet around the driveway’s racetrack. A sustained creak comes from the door, and she shoots back to her mound of tangled toys. Whew. Safe. Scrumptious smells of a home-cooked meal wafts from behind a mother who is making sure her child is still in one piece. A sweet smile and an itsy bitsy white lie are offered and accepted to cover for the daughter’s rule-breaking behavior. Safe again. The door gives a satisfying click, and the girl bounds over to her bicycle. Her sticky post-peanut butter and jelly fingers fumble with the helmet’s complicated buckle. The girl rearranges the wicker basket’s mostly-dead flowers from a previous adventure. Just as she teeters off of the seat, she starts to waddle across the garage floor.
When the master laid his eyes on the horse guilt filled within them. “This will not do, it’s too small, scrawny, and rancid. I won't let you stay until you get me a bear”, the master said with his head held high. The lion ended up getting loose and ran away.
Morgan had not a clue how to ride the four legged real barn animal. She was very comfortable with pretending that she was the best competitor in the world with her plastic barn animals. We stepped into the barn where you can see stall after stall of neutral colored horses. My horse, Austin, was black, and a little undersized, and perfect for a beginner. She couldn’t wait any longer, so as soon she got on the horse, she told me It felt natural, she wasn’t scared. It did not take her very long to learn how to steer the majestic earthly creature. The more she coiled around the barn the wider her smile got. After a while she settled getting her own trainor.
The horsemen are distinguished by their color white meant conquest, red was for war, black was for famine and pale was death. The riders also had their own unique style and were armed their conquest with a bow, war with a sword, and a set of balances for famine. During this time there was no weapon in Biblical form. The seals from the Revelation are Rider on White Horse, War, Famine, and Death. Each section describes a certain part during the
The most beautiful and priceless stallions had been captured and stolen by third reich 350 dazzling white thoroughbreds royal Lipizzaners and Arabian steeds. But as the German front collapsed in 1945 Hitler’s stable of super horses threatened to become stew for the pots of hungry Russian troops as they advanced on berlin. The daring mission by American troops to rescue the horses from behind enemy lines herding them across 130 battle scarred miles is detailed in a fascinating new book The perfect horse. It was a mission fraught with danger against Germans
Just as many people seem to have a favorite pet, I have Mocha. There is one slight difference though, between the average pet and mine: Mocha is nine times my weight. Capital Park, his official name, is my eleven year old horse. I bought him in the spring of 2013, and ever since, we have developed a unique partnership. This horse is my constant companion, my pet, my chore, and occasionally, my child. Although I often play the role of parent in his life—feeding, cleaning, and teaching him—he is my partner and I am his equal.
