Dearest Beloved Mother and Father, In the short time of serving our mighty King Macbeth, I cannot say anything but good things. Our majesty is nothing less than the kind, honorable, and noble man one would expect him to be. On the contrary, however, there was one particular incident which startled me greatly, and now I am fearful for my own life as well those in the kingdom.
Ere the day before, King Macbeth hosted the most elegant of all banquets in celebration of his crowning. All was well; his servants and I tended to the guests with ease. Without any notice, a mysterious, dark man emerged from the door’s shadow and our King shortly excused himself and proceeded to greet the man, privately. As I neared the end of the table, the two were deep in private conversion; unfortunately, I was unable to effectively eavesdrop. A dark aura surrounded the room; it was obvious on all the guests timid faces, but no one understood why. Continuing to discuss that His Highness's special quest, Banquo, was unable to attend, chills filled me and the hairs on my neck as if a small wind leaked into the chamber. The chills turned to solid ice as our Majesty, AGAIN, cursed and pointed at the invisible being in the chair. His words still ring inside my head, “Take any shape but that, and my firm nerves/Shall never tremble: or be alive again...” Now, however, we were all issued away by Lady Macbeth. Leaving their steaming food abandoned, Lords empty the room instantly, lacking order, and the servants and I aimed toward our wing.
Is our majesty’s sanity being challenged? It is questioned if he will continue his rule. I fear the worst dear parents. Pray you will care for yourselves as I fear I will be returning home soon.
