Peter Parker was 16 when he was bit by a radio active spider and it's no doubt that he didn't know he would be single-handled responsible for saving New York, all while dealing with high school and his crush Mary Jane. In the beginning, Peter relished in the attention his alter ego was getting. New York and possibly even the rest of the country loved him for being a hero. They made toys, posters, shirts, and even music relishing in his greatness. But when the pressure of being the almighty savior of New York got the best of him, Spider-man thought it was best to hang his uniform and go on about his mild life as Peter Parker, student, nerd, and resident intern for the Daily Bugle. But that wasn't what was best, at least not for the citizens.

To fully understand spiderman as an archetype in our culture we must first understand peter parker. Peter grew up with a loving family and spent most of his time with them when they weren't on business trips. Until one day Peter's parents left him with his aunt May and uncle Ben and hurried away. Soon after Peter answers the door to man who tells him his parents have died in a terrible plane crash. Several years later Peter is still living with his Aunt and Uncle and going to highschool.
Reason being that to Peter who is also Spider Man does not believe that giving Harry some of his blood is going to heal him. If Harry injects himself with the blood it might kill him ,or worst he might form a mutation, but to harry he views “spider-man” not giving him his blood as selfish. In Green’s book Moral Tribes he explains bias fairness as: one’s sense of fairness is easily tainted by self-interest(83). Humans usually want to be fair , but like the selfish beings, they are, will always lean to an idea which benefits them.To be fair is to think morally, but have a bias of fairness is to think selfishly and using this kind of thinking usually will lead to humans to not understanding the other's point of view” these unconsciously biased perceptions of fairness make it harder for otherwise reasonable people to reach agreements , often to determine both sides” (85). These issues of bias fairness appear in The amazing spider man 2 to Harry, spider man not giving him blood is a selfish action because now Harry will not have the benefit of being cured from his disease. On the other hand, to Peter also know as “spider man” does not view this as a good idea, so now two different ideas have now been formed by the characters. In this scene, Harry tells Peter “ if he doesn't share his
He wanted to be the hero and save the people of queens from death. He had nothing else to do with his powers. Police didn’t have the power to kill The Lizard and Spider-Man was the only one with the power needed to take down The Lizard. It took courage and bravery to do something that could get him killed. Knowing that you could be killed doing something is a frightening thought. Not many people will make life threatening situations. This theme is conveyed throughout the entire movie because Spider-Man needs to stop the The Lizard from killing more people or causing destruction to the world. He doesn’t stop when it comes to giving up. He keeps trying to save many people. Doing what you don’t want can show courage and confidence in yourself. Spider-Man represents “The Hero” archetype because he is showing a great amount of courage to fulfill his task. He has to restore balance throughout New York City. This theme is conveyed throughout all of Spider-Man’s fights because he shows that one can accomplish anything, if they try. Giving up should never happen. People need to put their full extent into everything so they can show that the confidence and bravery help make them succeed in what they are
This lead to a total DNA change that turned him into a huge psychotic lizard. Peter Parker who had been bit by a radio active spider was now on a search to rediscover who he really is and only at the age of sixteen. If Stan Lee's classic comic was meant to teach us anything it was meant to teach us that we have a choice. Peter Parker a low income orphan, who was bullied and weak used his powers to become a hero. Osborne decided other wise. Using not Spiderman, but Peter Parker as my last explain I would like to show you that what makes a monster is more than the struggle for power as I earlier stated. It is the choice we make with that power whether it is given to us or taken.
A hero is defined as, “a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities,” (Dictionary.com) There is two different types of heroes, there is the type that has super powers and flies around fighting crime, and then there just regular people doing outrageous things that benefit tons of people and their surroundings. There is Superman, Batman, and Cat Women, and then there is regular old, William Penn. Today we know him as the man on the Quaker’s oat meal box, but he is not the one who made oatmeal. Who is William Penn some might ask? William Penn is the founder of the province of Pennsylvania. William Penn should be considered a hero because he saved a bunch of people from being treated
Ironman, Spider-man, and Batman are all extraordinary people who are deemed heroes. Everyday heroes like firefighters or police officers, and fictional heroes such as the ones listed before are illustrated as invincible and a moral example for individuals. However, neither of those characteristics apply to an epic hero. An epic hero is flawed, and because an epic hero possess this quality it is the reason why a person would relate more to him and connect with the written work rather than a superhero. An elementary example of an epic hero, is Odysseus the main character in Homer’s The Odyssey because he goes above and beyond the call of bravery and courage of any normal human being to give sanctuary to his men while trying to get home. The Odyssey divulges the journey home Odysseus must make after fighting in the Trojan War; Little does he know that his own hubris will cause this short trip from Troy to Ithaca, to prolong into a twenty year voyage. The characteristics he manifest while facing adversities, his guile, and his tenacious desire to get home to his family is what makes him an epic hero in literature.
A large part of any story, especially one with the quest archetype, is love. Since the first time he sees Mary-Jane at the age of six, Peter Parker (Spider-Man) has loved her. At this time, Peter even asked his aunt: “Aunt May, Aunt May, is that an angel?” This truly displays how much Spider-Man adores Mary-Jane. In fact, Peter will do anything to help her. For example, near the beginning of the film, Peter saves Mary-Jane from slipping in the cafeteria. Because of his powerful love of Mary-Jane, Peter also faces consequences, though. His enemies, such as the Goblin Goblin, can manipulate him using Mary-Jane as a bribe, or ransom.

Spiders within two universes have become quite popular in the history of Marvel Comics, those being the Spider-Man of Earth-616 and Spider-Woman of Earth-65. Their characters each have the same principles and beliefs, but each stemming from different experiences. Peter Parker of Earth-616 was an above average student at Midtown High in Queens. On an average day, Peter Parker would be picked on and bullied. Until one day, he went alone to a science experiment involving radioactive material.
I think Don Giovanni is the villain in the opera, the murderer of Donna Anna's father, and the seducer who attempts to rape every woman. Don Giovanni downgrades his social status as a nobleman with his seductive acts. In the opera, Don Giovanni attempt to seduce Donna Ana and Zerlina and he also abandons Donna Elvira. Although some may argue that Don Giovanni is a hero because he was courageous to be true to himself, the truth of the matter is that he is a coward because real man repents for his sin and real man learns from his mistake. In the last scene, when the ghost enters Don Giovanni’s chamber, the overture foreshadows Don Giovanni’s death. At first, the music makes me feel like something horrible is coming up. Then the dynamic of the
The villain I would love to be for a day is Peter Quill's biological father, Ego from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I'd get to be a much more wiser and sympathetic father willing to recognize his own children while on the shadowy side, I'd get to be a cold, schematic, barbaric megalomaniac hellbent on conquering the universe.
Prometheus is an important person in Greek mythology because he gives the Greeks some of the valued necessities of life. He did many things in his life, according to the Greeks; he gave them fire after Zeus had taken it away from humans. Prometheus was commonly known as a clever trickster for the tricks he played on others. Overall he was a great hero that gave humans a couple of the very important things needed in life. His story is full of adventure and he shows a lot of courage. He also helps show what was important to the Greeks and what was valued like fire and intelligence.
When asked what makes the character of Spider-Man so popular, most people would probably say that it is due to his relatability. Peter Parker is just a kid, like all of us are or were, and that instantly makes him accessible to a wide audience. However, I never thought about that when I was a child. I grew up on the Sam Raimi films, which I still hold near and dear to my heart. I suppose I wasn’t smart enough at the time to realize the massive appeal of the Spider-Man character. For me, Spider-Man was just cool because of his colorful costume and his amazing powers. I was just a kid who loved awesome superheroes, and Spidey checked that box. Having graduated high school and preparing for college, I am now more aware of subtleties and nuances in film, while still retaining that childlike excitement for massive blockbusters. I have been anticipating the latest Spidey film for a very long time, and upon viewing the film twice, I’ve realized a glorious truth. For the first time in my life, at the age of 18, I finally related to the character on a deeper level than I ever thought possible, and that is what makes this film shine.
