Romeo and Juliet A love story doesn’t always have a happy ending. There are many obstacles and challenges the lovers face. This could be because of family, friends or society which can go against the lovers. One of the best examples would be the story of Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare. The story is based on two beautiful lovers who fell in love at first sight, but are crushed down because of their families and are forbidden to love one and other and cannot have the freedom to love and have peace. Due to this reason, they both eventually die trying to achieve their love. However, there’s a reason behind everything and the reason to Romeo and Juliet’s deaths are the Nurse, Friar Lawrence and Apothecary who should be punished because of their actions. In this exposition there will be explanations and evidence on why the three characters should be punished. In the play, the Nurse is one of the closest individual to Juliet. She has been with Juliet since her birth and treated her has her own. She’s breastfeed Juliet and has made most of her decisions in her life. However, due to one of her decisions she’s led Juliet to her death. For the reason that, the Nurse let Juliet and Romeo get married without their parents knowledge for example, in Act 2, Scene 4, and Line 189-190 the Nurse is speaking to Romeo and tells …show more content…

The Apothecary is a poor man as he has said, my poverty, but not will, consents in Act 5, Scene and line 75. However, the main reason to why he should be punished is because he sold Romeo poison which had the power to kill twenty men. He does this in Act 5, Scene 2 and Line 78-79 where he says, put this in any liquid you will and drink it off, and if you had the strength of twenty men .
