I never wanted to be a Mother. Yet here I find myself in love with my three year old son, more and more everyday. He learns from me as much as I learn from him and he has given me so much in his little life. One of the greatest things I can give my son is to finish school and find my sense of accomplishment because I want to give him everything that I can possibly give. Why is college important to me? I have decided that college is important to me because I want my son to learn that furthering his education can help him find inspiration and a sense of self
Attending college for the first time is an important, rewarding decision that I made for a good reason. I learned a lot about myself that will help me in my future. Setting goals, having expectations, and reflecting why I am in college is incredible to think about.
“Knowledge Is Power” one of Sir Francis Bacon famous quotes, those three words says it all. I’ve been hungry and excited for
A significant conflict I have encountered within my mere seventeen years of life is a presumably common one, obtaining an adequate score on my ACT. I realize this conflict seems to affect many students attempting to attend college as I am, but the lengthy process which led me to challenge the ACT has actually impacted me in, I would believe, a positive way. Now the reason I decided to undertake this daunting task was actually due to the fact that I did not score high enough on my SAT, or rather not nearly as high as I desired. Although my score failed to meet my expectation it was not, in statistical terms, a bad score. Though I was aware of such a fact, to me it was not a sufficient reassurance prompting me to acquire a divergent approach.
An education Starts with you, yourself. I think that an education is the very foundation we lay down for our children's future. Like my idol Former First Lady And Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton Quotes “lets make sure that every child in every zip code receives a first class education”.Ok, this is true, but feel that our government can yes regulate our school system for a better education guideline. My tone is this it start here at home with us as parents, we need to set the bar for our children. We as parents need to be completely involved it starts right here right now with me. You ask us to write an Essay on why college is important to us. I have three reasons, one is my family, two is my passions and lastly is my strong beliefs.
Going to college is a big jump in the life of anyone who decides to enroll and not everyone who attends has the same expectations. Coming to Western Kentucky University, I have high hope and expectations. I admit that I want to have a lot of fun socially, but I also want to succeed academically. I believe WKU is a good place for me. I think being on this campus is going to help me grow as a person.
I would construe the colleges as the practice of learning process about how to be part of the society. It is a challenging, but the college could absolutely be built upon on how you do, and how you like it. However, this does not mean the college is necessary to step into the association. For example, if you are desired to be a doctor, engineer, or CEO of the certain association, it will be certainly ambitious challenge for those of who do not have any college degree. However, in case that some people who thinks their dream career does not require any college degree, then you might want to start considering spending your deposits on college.
Attending college in Montana is important to me for a variety of reasons. I have many friends and family that are attending colleges all over Montana and I would like to stay close to them! I also have a lineage in Montana going back generations on both sides, so it would be very meaningful to me to stay in my home state. Going anywhere else I would miss the environment, scenery, Montana customs, and most importantly the people. My family means a lot to me and almost all of my immediate and extended family live in the state. Having in-state tuition is a crucial factor to come out of college debt free and be able to start making a difference in the world as soon as possible. Montana also has well-developed programs in both degrees of computer
Attending college and earning my degree is very important to me for a few big reasons. I know that the money should be the number one reason and although it is a good reason, it is not the most important. I need to show myself that I can do this. My whole life I have been told that I couldn’t do things. From far back as I can remember I was the one who didn’t have a future as anything. I need to do this for myself, to show me that I can do it. I do not need a man or anyone else to support me because I am smart and very capable. The next reason is to show my daughter, Aberdeen, that education is important. It doesn’t matter if you want to be a wife and stay at home mom, you never know what life is going to throw at you and you have to have
Occupied with obstacles, life is not tranquil. I’ve been attending college occasionally since 2007. A brilliant student throughout high school, but life changed for me in college that resulted in being incapable to stay. From living in my car to unable to pay the high cost of college, resulted in having to drop out. My dreams of going to college seemed unreachable. I was the first in my family to attend college. Above all, my family came from Mexico to provide a superior life for my siblings and I. College was always in our conversations and it fueled my desire to outshine in school. That dream was cursorily diminishing away. Luckily, I discovered the Urban Leadership Program (ULP) at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) in
I am 25 years going on 26 years old and I thought college was not for me, when I got out of high school. As I grew older I started to realize that I was not satisfied I wanted something else, I couldn’t do things I liked because I was living pay check to paycheck always stressing about not paying bills on time. Soon after I had my son and realized that I needed to do something about my situation, I needed time to spend with him and still pay bills. I decided to go to college and I can say it was the best decision I have made it will benefit me and my son in the long run. A college education and degree can open many doors in a person’s life, and I believe that there are 3 benefits we can all relate to, it can lead to having a better financial stability, better job opportunities, and family stability.
Many times I walk into work and see job vacancies posted in the break room. Every time I look under qualifications I see in bold letters, MUST HAVE DEGREE. My co-workers often say "hey, are you applying for the position?" and in return I would answer "I'm not qualified, I don't have the degree." My children tell me all the time "wow mom, you are so smart", usually it's when they need help with homework or they want to go outside. I tell my children all the time to study and make good grades in school so they can go off to college, buy their big houses and fancy cars. "Free the child's potential and you will transform him into the world," said Maria Montessori (Eissler 2009). If I stress the importance of an college education to my child,
My parents have always told me to go to college, get a good job, make money, and do great things. What they did not tell me is much they were struggling to keep food on the table, how the long hours they worked left them exhausted or how difficult it was for them to tell us no to a new toy, so we could keep our house. They never told me any of this, but after seventeen years, I'm finally starting to see the difficulties of parenthood. With one less child in the house, their burden will be lighter, but not if that child needs 10,000 per year to attend college. There is nothing that would give me more joy in the world than to be able to give back to theses two amazing parents that I am so lucky to have. College is the way I can ever hope to
There are many reasons as to why college education is important to me. One of them is my motivation to continue my knowledge for my career at Nebraska Furniture Mart as the Loss Prevention Manager. Another reason is that I hope to inspire the young people who work with me and work for me that they can also further their education no matter how old or young they may be. I have set a goal to finish all of my college education so that I may show the CEO of Nebraska Furniture Mart that I am willing and able to strive to further my career and knowledge by earning my Associate’s Degree with Ashworth College. By earning my Associate’s Degree, I will also be able to earn more income, since it is well known that people who earn their degrees earn more than those who stop after obtaining their GED or high school education.
I can put the reasons why I think a college education is important to me in three categories, myself, my family and my career. Once I acquire the skills and knowledge, it will enhance my self-esteem. Earning a degree in my field will give the opportunity to give my children a better future. I will use the credentials and degree to open my own business. Earning my degree will give me the empowerment in knowing that I strived and accomplished something difficult and incredible.
Why is a college education important to me? I have always wanted to attend college to earn my degree in accounting. After I graduated high school I went to college, but I didn’t major in accounting. I went to college for education, then I switched my major to psychology, then switched it again to liberal arts so I could learn Spanish. After two years of college, I decided to take a break from it. A few years later, I took a tax course, completed the course, then hired as a Tax Preparer. I personally believe a college education is important since I would become an accountant to enhance my clientele, it is a new experience, and having a college education means I will earn more money in the future. Going to college is a learning experience. I
