I am Christian St. Germain, a Junior at Hot Springs High School, the school you went to, looking into your legacy and the negatives and positives of your presidency. As a person, I have always admired you, and I could not care less about the sex scandal. As a president, through all your trials and tribulations, you did well for the country. I watched a documentary in my English class on your rise and fall, and it interested me. I, like you, have always tried to participate in a lot of extracurricular activities. I actually had some family that knew you back in high school. I’m not sure if they knew you personally, or if they just knew of you, but I think that is cool. I by no means am aspiring to be president. It is too much pressure, but I do want to leave a legacy.

You entered the presidency with certain expectations. You were governor, but the license plate taxes killed any chance of your re-election, and Frank White used that against you. But you never gave up. You ran again after that and was re-elected. You eventually ran for president and won your first try! Everyone does. Not in a way that everyone looks back and says, “Man, that guy did great for the country.” I want to be remembered for who I am as a person, not for what I did. I try to be the best person I can be, so I am always nice to others. I give advice. I try to be someone that will be remembered, like you were, for the good or the bad, I am not to say. I’d love to meet you someday because as far as the public was concerned, you were loved. Adored. You made it through the scandal, and the Congress couldn’t deal with the fact that the public trusted you, so they impeached you. I give you my condolences for what happened, but like the true “Comeback Kid” you did indeed, come back. I would love for you to visit us, and meet you in person. I would enjoy meeting the real William Jefferson
