Reason and Logic From the mundane to abnormal reason and logic plays a major role in every function of our lives, in helping us clearly gain knowledge of the things that are occurring. Reason is the fundamental guideline of understanding. It is the method of identifying entities through one 's sensesit helps us transform perceptions into concepts, gaining knowledge through this process, integrating that knowledge into the rest of one 's knowledge, and evaluating and manipulating ideas and facts. When we are in are early prime stages of development, we begin to develop a sense of reason. Reason is the capacity for consciously making sense of things around us, by applying logic, established and verified facts. The methods of developing reason come from Socrates. Reason can be characterized in four different ways. First there is mutual exclusion, which is the existence of two things that are both true but doesn’t conflict with each other. For example when you state that the earth is round and that the sun is hot both statements are true independently and does not rely on each other. Mutual coincidence is another aspect of reason. Mutual coincidence can be defined as one items being true and another can also be mutual coincidence with in that item. For example you can state that all bachelors are unmarried men and Dave is an unmarried men. It can be concluded that Dave is a bachelor due to mutual coincidence reasoning. The next competent of
The Rationalism era, which is also known as “The Enlightenment” or “ The Age of Reasoning”, is an historic event that took place in eighteenth century in Western Europe, England and American Colonies. At this time, people went from thinking traditionally to thinking more rationally. Thoughts and actions went from religious based to more of a scientific approach. Not only is this an important era for American Literature but also for American History because this is when the Declaration Of Independance and The United States Constitution were written. Writers and readers took notice to “The Enlightenment” and started the historic event, we know today as the “The Age of Reasoning”.

Reason also known as (logic or logos) refers to any attempt to appeal an argument using only valid facts. Some individual’s actions are based on reasons, as they are managed by rationality and they think very cautiously about all the decision they make. Conversely, passion also known as (emotion or pathos) refers to being able to persuade a situation

What reason engages in is always its own manifestation, be that language with its power of signification or be that harmonious numbers. In and through the sciences, reason searches for itself. Reason's true object is reason itself. Reason never simply deals with physical or historical objects as such.it manifests itself in culture and nature.
Thirteen colonies, united strong and firm to bring down the King of Great Britain, who had been controlling them for a period of time. In these colonies, various people gathered together and formed a document known as The Declaration of Independence, that broke them free from the king and made them a nation, America. But before becoming America, they were held captive by the King of Great Britain, who did no good for the people and brought them nothing but misery. America slowly, but eventually evolved itself since the mid 1700’s and has become one of the strongest nations even till this day. With all these changes and history this nation has become of, so has it’s actions changed and outgrown throughout these years. The nation created in 1776 can be represented in various characteristics, as when the Age of Reason occurred. The Age of Reason focused on reason, individualism, and skepticism, impacting the society in a variety of ways, creating the colonies to react and show several emotions. During this period of time, people were convinced the reason held by humans could make the discovery of natural laws of the universe and natural rights of mankind. And this conflicted with the religious beliefs because people based on their life from the word of God and didn’t believe a discovery like this would prove God wrong. Above all, the two most important characteristics that best represent America during the Age of Reason are inquisitive

The core idea of Albert Camus’ philosophy of absurdity centralizes upon the idea that humans exist in a meaningless universe, and follows that humans must simply accept this fact to live life to the fullest. In addition to this absurdist notion, Albert Camus also uses The Stranger to show how humans still strive to create superficial meaning to fulfill their own personal needs. Through the experiences and interactions in Meursault’s life, Camus illustrates that in spite of how events in life follow no rational order, society attempts to futilely create meaning to explain human existence.
The essence of the "why" in society can be seen through many cultures and time periods. From many of people in westernized grade school, children are taught the 5 "W's:" who, what, why, where, and when. Starting in basic education, people are taught and encouraged to be inquisitive creatures. Not that they need to be. Even from prehistoric times, there have been many instances of Pagan cultures, and gods being created to explain certain natural events, such as rain gods, or a god's wrath may explain a volcano eruption. For, when a child is writing about a ladybug, they will want to know why the bug is there. When humans question their own existence, they want to know why they themselves are there. In any instance, a human will always ask the question "Why?" Furthermore, with any instance, a human will always find an answer to their why.
There is a reason behind everything that happens in life, it may not be understandable for some people, but there is reason
Knowing the reasons for events helps develop a deeper understanding of an event or a series events than just learning who attacks who and what comes about it. It also allows us to learn from our past mistakes, to prevent unnecessarily conflict, and to learn what not to do to solve a given problem.
Rationale gives substantial thinking and assurance in judgment, however, it is subordinate to common sense needs. The principal and most important piece of logic concerns the application of principle. Epictectus argues that the ills that human beings experience are as a result of mistaken beliefs of what is surely worthy. According to him, as human beings, We have put our trust in the wrong things, or possibly put it in the wrong way.
The universe as a whole must follow reason, but the catch is that each individual's universe is
Throughout chapter four in Everything’s an Argument, we learn about arguments based on reason and evidence. While both terms may seem similar and are used to strengthen an argument, they both do different things. Evidence, as opposed to reason, refers to anything factual and pre-existing, such as facts, statistics, laws, contracts, witnesses, documents, or any other form of data. Evidence is classified by inartistic proofs, which is the arguments the writer or speaker is given. On the other hand, reason refers to artistic proofs which is an argument the writer creates. If someone does not have the facts to support their claims, they will use reason and common sense. Reason is used to strengthen an argument and may appeal to emotions and logic,
