Sports at this very moment are becoming restricted from all kids to play. If you think about sports being restricted what would the kids do without sports to keep them healthy and happy. The restriction of sports is not the answer for teens and younger children. Some reasons that sports should not be restricted are, sports help the focus in school, sports can help the brain function, and can help you meet new people and make you more healthy and happy.
One reason that kids should play sports is because it can help them in school. The text states, “According to a 2013 report from the institute of medicine physically active kids show more focus, and are better problem solvers, and score higher on tests.” This proves that when kids are active they have a lot more chance in school. They also, get better grades and studies show that a better percentage of kids pass school and their classes. “A 2012 study by the datalys study center found that young athletes have higher scores in math and English than those who don’t participate in sports.” Stated in the text. This explains that when kids are active and in some type of sports they can be improved with school and other things such as grades and determining if their stuff gets turned in on time. As you can see sports are a great thing for younger kids to keep them well in school and keep their brains intact in education.
Another reason that sports should not be restricted is because it could help the brain and its processes to become mature. In the text it says, “Organized sports activity helps children develop and improve brain skills, according to a study of that tracked kids from kindergarten through fourth grade (Piche, 2014).” This explains, When kids are more active they have healthier brains and do better in school. Also, when kids play sports their brain is healthier and more physically ready for learning so when they get to school they are on top of everything they need to do. “Physical activity in general is associated with improved academic achievement, including grades and standardized test scores. Further, such activity can affect attitudes and academic behavior, including enhanced concentration, attention, and improved classroom behavior (GAO,
W In the same article by Anne Josephson(15 Reasons Competitive Sports Are Good For Kids(That have nothing to do with winning) says this exact thing. She also says it gives kids a healthier mind. With a healthier mind you can do a lot more with your everyday life, when it comes to grades, attitude, etc. In her article it also says that kids who played sports for their school were less likely to drop out of school because of education issues. This may be because not only that there minds are healthy, but that many sports are run through the schools themselves, so if they skip school or get bad grades they literally can not play.Another detail to support this is, Kirk Mango believes that with obesity on the rise it seems fitting--pun intended--for more kids to play sports and get into shape. Almost 19 million kids, ages 2-19 are obese. If all kids play competitive sports there would be a lot less obesity in this world. Youth sports could solve a problem that many people
First of all sports keep our youth out of trouble. “Sports lead to less smoking, drug use, pregnancy, and risky sex”(“Active Kids Do”). Sports lead to less of all these things because most high school sports have a two hour practice 4 - 5 times a week plus a game so, in doing that it gives less time for our youth to be caught up in illegal activities. Also kids will have to feel the rave of the coach if they get in trouble because that usually means they can’t play a game and the whole team is depending on them. All in all sports help kids stay out of trouble.
The first reason why kids should be able to play sports is that it keeps them healthy. Adolescents who play sports are eight times as likely to be active at age 24 as adolescents who do
If schools were to get rid of sports, their students would have more trouble releasing stress, children wouldn’t know how to work as a team, and not everyone would be able to play sports outside of school. As stated, sports can help with relaxing and although they cost a fortune, sometimes they still can help you bring joy to those who play them. In the end those who play sports, do better in school and they get better reflexes than if they were just jogging or

In previous studies, scholars found that more students have succeeded academically without athletics. Therefore, school sports should not be permitted so students can increase success in school, work, prevent any additional school cutbacks, and to eliminate sport related injuries.
