Religious, I am a very religious person, I go to church as much as possible and know a lot about the bible, I believe at one time when jesus walked the earth there was miracles or some may call magic taken place. He performed these miracles to show everyone who he was and the power he had through his father God. He raised people from the dead, fed thousands of people with five loaves of bread and two fish, gave blind people sight. However once he went back to heaven he said “It is written” which means he was done performing miracles, I think at that point the power to do things like that were over. Non religiously, well witchcraft is considered to be spiritual as its self, so there is no ways to describe it but other than explain it as close to a religion which is the belief in yourself as being the one with the god like powers and performing these magic miracles. However I personally do not believe in these or that they couldn't even be

Although some others believed it was the result of consuming the fungus “Ergot” which was found in rye, wheat and other cereals. Later in colonial times there was a widespread of witchcraft throughout the new pioneer villages. People believe that it became worse from all the anxiety from the fear of death from disease, savages, smallpox and the after war effects of the British war with France. All this anxiety was driving the Puritans
Is Wicca a religion or Hocus Pocus? That is a question most people would like to know. In the Old tradition, I believe people looked at Wicca as witchcraft. I was so interested in that question and wanted to learn more on the religion Wicca that I had the pleasure of interviewing a Wicca witch. She is co-worker and friend of mine, Kathy Davis. Kathy Davis is a Wicca witch who loves her religion. She was happy to answer my questions and tell me her beliefs in her religion. Witchcraft and Wicca, while similar in ways are not the same. Wicca is a religion while witchcraft is not considered a religion. Kathy’s beliefs are strong and she wanted to point out some of her beliefs of Wicca’s, like their beliefs in reincarnation, what each
Witchcraft has been around since the B.C. era, but erupted in the late 1600s. It began in Europe and eventually made its way to the New World. Witchcraft is believing in and the use of practical magic, such as casting spells, calling on spirits, or predicting the future. Witchcraft is derived from the Anglo-Saxon word, “wicce,” meaning wise. Therefore, it translates into “craft of the wise.” Wise people were those who were familiar with natures’ forces and were educated when it came to the herbs and plants. Witches relied greatly on the four elements: air, fire, water, and earth. They were known to have supernatural powers and used them for the good of society, unlike the negative stereotype the modern day witches hold, mainly because of the Christian churches. From my understanding witchcraft is what is basically used to explain situations that human kind believe is unexplainable in terms of science or nature; or simplified reasons of human understanding of the world around us. These understandings of which most are found in rural or secluded areas, and in places where wealth is distributed unequally. I also gather from the readings of; Evan Pritchard, that witchcraft explains functionalism in primitive though lines and in contrast to Fraser McNeil and Daniel Jordan Smith’s readings witchcraft in another context explains structuralism.
Witchcraft means “Craft of the Wise Ones” and is also recognized as the Old Religion. Its practices can be traced back to Stone Age cave images. Not different from the Native Americans shamanism, Witchcraft exists as a nature religion. As the perceptions of male and female take place throughout life, most Witches regard Deity as the male and the female or the God and the Goddess. The Goddess is viewed as Mother Nature or Mother Earth and is embodied by the Moon. The Goddess is perceived in the fruitfulness of the animal, plant as well as human kingdoms. Her

Wiccanas are those who practice the religion of Wicca, but not all Wiccans practice Witchcraft. Many Wiccans do practice witchcraft though. There is a belief that in both, depending on if the Wiccan believes in, and practices witchcraft that humans are able to be animagiouses and turn into different animals. It is believed that when they are able to transform from human to animal they are able to see the world from different perspectives. “This religion is attractive for many people who do not desire or appreciate absolute truths(2).” There is no bible, no head religious leader, and no belief in rewards or punishments after death, only reincarnation.
