Willow’s mother, Sheila, is only on camera in one episode. Her voice is featured in another episode. Willow’s mother shows an extreme disconnect from her daughter's life. In the essay, "Hunger," by Maggie Helwig, the author states that eating disorders are a form of protest by women against spiritual starvation brought by extreme consumerism; she does this by tracing the symbol meaning of hunger. One of the attractive features of Helwig's essay is her ability to persuade to her audiences by the use of research and experiences. Helwig's use of language, through definitions and various repetitions, illustrates and reinforces her perspective, therefore sending a powerful message to victims of eating disorders.
Thank you for sharing your on-site issue. I am expressive with my facial expressions quite often and until your post, I am not sure if I viewed this as a major problem. You are spot on with being concerned with. Anyone that has been on the received end of a disapproving facial expression understands how it can sting. I was thinking about how Thelma from Love’s Executioner and she would have reacted to Dr. Yalom (1989) if he lost that poker face. There were times we can infer that he might have let his face communicate a judgement and it impacted the session. Navarro (2011) states, “...there are over 215 behaviors associated with psychological discomfort and most of those are not in the face (para.14).” Yikes!!! I would
Since the beginning of the episode it is evident that there is a lack of communication. As Buffy and Riley walk with each other they never say anything longer than a sentence to each other, they were both holding back which leads to them lying. This shows the struggle they both have to face to have a simple conversation with each other, neither of them say what they really wanted to say. While they are staring into each
The American author Og Mandino once said,”sound character provides the power with which a person may ride the emergencies of life instead of being overwhelmed by them. Failure is… the highway to success.”In Laura Hillenbrand’s biography Unbroken, the considerable Louis Zamperini exemplified Og Mandion’s out look beating as a world war II soldier, took on anything handed to him from shark attacks to a prisoner of war in japan. It was Zamperini’s Determination that pushed each other to continue to survive in which Hillenbrand convyed his captivating biography.
The novel Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand is a biography about a man named Louie Zamperini who lived a very puzzling life. Running through his youth into great fame at the Olympics, joining the military and getting stranded on a raft in the Pacific Ocean, and being locked up in a prisoner camp to finally being released home.

Many mothers plan their children and are overjoyed when they discover they are with child; others are surprised, and perhaps not as pleased. However, not many can say they became pregnant when they have never had sex. Jane the Virgin is a CW network television program about Jane Villanueva, a religious young woman who has never had sexual intercourse but becomes pregnant by an accidental artificial insemination. Due to the nature of the main character's situation, the topic of sex, virginity, and conception is often discussed, as well as what it means to be a virgin. Although virginity has historically been viewed through a traditional Christian context, Jane the Virgin has given the term a new meaning with a non-traditional and modern day
In “Butter” by Erin Jade Lange, the fact that the popular kids start to cheer butter on and place bets on if he will actually eat himself to death, suggests that popular kids are truly the most evil people. Once butter makes the website and the word spreads, two of the most popular guys in school suddenly act like his friends, but only because of the website. In the text it says, “nothing’ man. We just, y’know thought you might not want to sit alone.” “yeah” Parker said. “That and we want to know what's on the menu. (113). Before this, Butter would sit alone at a table and these guys at another, and on occasion they would say something rude to him. But, after two days of making the website, Trent and Parker have butter sit with them so they

Buffy Sainte Marie is almost the complete opposite of the Native American that you would imagine. No, Buffy does not wear a headdress, feathers, and old ragged clothes. Instead, you can see her dressing like any other ordinary person.
Sinner or saint is a significant dichotomy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Several characters are able to bridge this: Spike and Buffy being two of the notable examples, playing both roles throughout the series. However, the female vampires of the series consistently fall into the latter category of sinner, and not only that, but a sexually deviant or hyper sexualized sinner. There are no recurring female vampires in the show that do not become categorized in this extreme way. Drusilla was once a nun, but once turned, all of that religious devotion disappears.

What’s with the face of Michelle Trachtenberg that made her to be on the list twice? Looks like her portrayal for Dawn in Buffy the Vampire Slayer isn’t enough.
