You know that summer vacation that you always take with your family? Well if the school board switches to year-round schooling, you will no longer be able to have that vacation. Year-round schooling is turning into a world-wide new experience. With going to school all year long it ruins old traditions like that family vacation in the summer, and having that long stretch of summer relaxation by the pool and on the beach. Some other issues with year-round schooling is the rising cost and schedule adjustments.

Imagine, after being in school for 9 weeks you get 2-3 week break. Sounds nice doesn’t it? Well, this can happen. Many schools are switching to year round schooling. Florida should make the switch to it. Students won’t forget what they learned over summer break, and it helps teachers and students get more refreshed. Even though there are positives with implementing year round schooling. (On the other hand) Florida shouldn't make the switch because, it is hard to make schedules for sports, extracurricular activities, and your families schedules. Florida should still switch to year round schooling because there are many good things about it.

Jersey Boys on Broadway played Friday August 22nd at 8 Pm, and performed at the August Wilson Theater in New York. The main characters consisted of Dominic Scaglione Jr. as Frankie Valli, Richard H. Blake as Tommy DeVito, Quinn VanAntwerp as Bob Gaudio and Michael Lomenda as Nick Massi. Jersey Boys is a musical memoir of the 1960’s rock and roll group, The Four Seasons. Through the progression of the play, the audience is taken on a journey as each member of the group narrates a particular development emphasizing how the Four Seasons came to be. In the first Act, Tommy DeVito walks out on stage and begins to tell the audience about the development of the band. At first, the group started out as starting out as "The Variety Trio" along with his brother, Nick DeVito and friend Nick Massi. At that time, Tommy discovered a confused teenager, Frankie Castelluccio, and took him under his wing, teaching him everything he knows about music. With Nick DeVito in prison, the band struggled to gain any form of success, they changed their names multiple times until Bob Gaudio, singer and songwriter came along uniting the lost group (Playbill: Jersey Boys).

Hey did I hear someone say that we are going to have year round school! I don't want school all year. That would be boring, when would we get a break? That would make more people skip school, wouldn't that be bad?! That’s what I thought.

Many schools are considering switching to a year round school schedule. Some people might not understand what this means “ students in most Amercia year-round schools districts spend the same amount of days in class as a student in traditional schools- the days are just arranged differently, with smaller breaks throughout the year” (Mcmullen, 2001) Holton shouldn’t consider this schedule because it will not improve students learning, there is about 180 days typically required, No air conditioning.

Do I feel that school should be year round? I feel that school should not be year round. I feel that students and staffs need breaks from each other. I feel students need free time from school and should be able to let their brain rest. I feel that students and teachers need vacation time to leave out of and do things they need to do and want to do. If school was year round I feel the dropout rate would increase, because students will get tired of going to school. I feel that people will have less time to spend with family members and friends.

Do you ever feel like you are wasting away on winter break.Do you feel like it would be more fun if you were still in school.I have a two week break from school and I can go anywhere I want.So I am choosing to go to our beach house in Florida Keys.It would be adventurous. We will see new things and eat new foods.

The hay or straw provides insulation; the plastic allows sunlight for photosynthesis and solar heating. Autumn is a good time to plant green manure crops, such as turnips, that can be tilled into the soil in the spring. It is also a good time to apply slow-release organic fertilizers.
