While searching for colleges, I was looking for what all students ask for, a university with top notch academics and a social life; and I have come to discover that the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point is the embodiment of such an institution. After doing an abundance of research, I am fully confident that your university is the perfect match for me, not just because of the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point’s qualities, but also the fact that I believe that I will flourish as a student and that my characteristics will enhance your school. To be honest, I do not contain any tangible talents such as being athletic in sports or gifted in the arts or music. However, I contain to two essential qualities that I believe are substantial for …show more content…
I love to help people. The other day one of the kids in my group at work asked if I could help her get across the monkey bars. When we got to the monkey bars she began to cry because she did not believe she could do it. Her arms shook and her feet trembled. “You can do it; I will be right with you. You won't fall,” I reassured her. She started to smile and she too believed she could do the monkey bars. The first attempt was a bit rough, she had started to panic when she got halfway done and looked down. But, on the second attempt, she did not need me at all. She swung her hands from bar to bar and crossed the playground without a doubt. When she finished we were both grinning from ear to ear ecstatic to tell her father the good news. Some people might think this was just me helping a little girl do the monkey bars but to me, this was helping a little girl believe in herself and that is something she will hold on to forever. Helping her gave me the greatest joy, a feeling I wish everyone could know. I enjoy helping others whenever I can, that is why I am an active member in my church youth group, to help people and the community. A work ethic and a compassionate heart are the reasons why I believe that I will flourish academically and socially at Stevens Point, and I hope your institution will take my traits into

Ever since I was a kid, I have always dreamed of being able to go to UW-Madison. From it being known as the best college in the Midwest to the amount of opportunities and variety of subjects it has, UW Madison has always been my dream college to attend. I decided to apply for the University of Wisconsin-Madison because of the academic options it offers, the credibility of being one of the best schools in America, and the experience that UW-Madison offers that other colleges do not.
I am applying to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, because it is a large school with outstanding credentials, with a strong community and lots of school spirit. This is exactly what I am looking for for in my college environment. I want a large school population where I can meet new people every day, get involved in many activities, and where I can make connections and build relationships with my professors. I also look forward to living in snow again - I moved from Denmark to California a few years ago, and I miss the winter weather!
When I go off to college I plan to go to a college that fits me. College is important for anyone’s career, and I want to be successful. That is why the university I attend has to feel right, and inspire me to succeed. Washington University in St. Louis does that for me. WashU makes me challenge myself, and ensures me that it is the perfect place to go. Some of the university’s great qualities include their majors, the location, and the community.
In the end University of Wisconsin-Madison seems like the right college for me for many reasons. The location seems perfect and the academics feel like they would lead me towards getting a degree in a field I would enjoy pursuing. The Wisconsin experience sounds like exactly what I would want my college experience to be
Nelson Mandela once said,”Education is one of the most powerful weapons that you can use to change the world.” To change the world is why I want a good college education, so for the last few months I have been visiting colleges that I was considering to transfer to, Illinois State University(my top choice), Eastern Illinois University(my second choice), and Western Illinois University(my 3rd choice). I chose to highlight the major differences between Illinois State University and Western Illinois University just to show how much they contrast. I selected to attend Illinois State University because it exceeds Western Illinois University in three ways which are, Campus/Location, academics, and the atmosphere.
I believe I have no talent. In my mind a talent is something you enjoy doing and continue pursuing for the rest of your life. Picasso had a talent of painting, and he enjoyed painting. They say all people are born with a natural talent. I could say I have the talent of speaking out to others because I was the preacher in my Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization that I started at my school. I could say my talent is being able to master the flag in color guard. I may also say my talent is being able to juggle many things at once because of my busy schedule during the school year. I had to balance my time spread between 6 clubs, homework, 3 sports, and community service. I could also mention my talent is being able to memorize and learn
Montana is known as it beauty. There is many activities to do in this gorgeous state such as, going to Glacier National Park, skiing, hiking, boating, fishing/ fly-fishing , really good hunting, going to historical museums, and you can even go to Yellowstone National Park. Montana went through a lot just to become what we are today, and here are some difficulties we had to come by…
The study conducted on the Minnesota Wild Facebook page found that comments and likes were very prominent. In fact comments were very prominent among fans during the weekdays and on content that was specifically related to the NHL team, whereas likes were very prominent among weekdays, content created by the MN Wild, post/pre-game days, and on comments that were generated by the fans. Many of the comments that were created by the hockey fans had various themes including, image-led content, videos that were professionally edited of the team, and humanistic/emotive topics. This includes new players, when players drop the gloves on the ice (aka fighting), profiling of juniors from the younger leagues, and celebrating of players birthdays. The
Mississippi State University (MSU) is located in the heart of Starkville, Mississippi. It was originally founded as an agricultural and mechanical college, which is still a strong aspect of the campus. MSU is made up of eight colleges that houses over 80 majors. MSU takes assessment very serious, which is why the school has several offices just for administrating and evaluating assessment.
Ever since I was a kid, I always wondered where I would go to college. I grew up watching the badgers play football and basketball, and loved the atmosphere. From a young age, I was determined to become a doctor and never strayed from that notion. Neither of my parents attended college as my mother only went to the technical college for culinary school. I never heard all of the great first-hand accounts of college stories and what the experience would be like. As I aged, I started to question people what their college experiences were like, and the topic of UW-Madison was a common occurance. Every story told about Madison encompassed proud memories of the students and their journey from an adolescent to adulthood.
Everything that a person encounters, either physically or just by knowledge, shapes how that person behaves and respond to everyday situations. With this in mind, I can enhance my understanding of myself and the people around me. As a result, these variations produce those distinguished interactions that people seek in colleges. Ranging from the schools I attended and even my family background brings different experiences for me. With these factors in mind, no doubt I would be able to contribute to something beautiful at The Ohio State University.
Even though the LADWP (Los Angeles Department of Water and Power) had taken many gallons of water, today water is currently filling up Mono Lake, par to what some may have thought that LA ought to pay for what they did. After losing a lawsuit, LADWP was required to release water into Mono Lake to raise the lake level 20 feet (6.1 m) above the then-current water level of 25 feet (7.6 m) below the 1941 water level. As of March first, the water level in Mono Lake has risen 38.9 feet (11.9 m) of the then-required 20 feet (6.1 m). Los Angeles had made up for the lost water through state-funded conservation and recycling projects.
To conclude, I fully recognize with the help of a great institution such as Seattle Pacific University, I'll be able to further progress and define my true potential. This transfer means much more to me than I can ever explain and as a first generation student, this will change my life. I hope to experience this stage of my life at Seattle Pacific University and become someone that students and professors admire long after
Before setting foot on campus, I had heard stories about Northwestern. It was where my Grandparents fell in love, a family friend pursued a career in dentistry when it was unconventional for women, and my cousin found his calling and made lifelong friends along the way. As I proceeded through Weber Arch, on a campus visit this past spring, rows of goosebumps appeared on my arms and a wave of chills swept over me. Although it was a cool morning and a breeze was coming off of Lake Michigan, I, as a Wisconsinite, had been well-tempered to the cold. What I am not accustomed to, however, was the feeling that rose from my gut as I realized that this was the first step of my Northwestern direction.
