Research Essay Outline: Women in the Late 1800’s Beginning in the late 1800’s, the daily life of a woman was very crucial and consistent. Starting from early morning until dusk, the women would care for children, clean the house, and provide any other services they could. Throughout the late 1800’s, women were treated unfairly due to the women assisting their families, caring for children, and being an American housewife. Even though women were looked down on and criticized, they managed to keep their heads high by assisting their family day by day. Their jobs were making sure everything was always in order. Religion was harshly looked upon and key in the children’s life. Regardless the repercussions of the actions of the children, they had to be raised in a well rounded religious home. It was so important to teach the children religion, due to the fact that’s who they would worship in their later years. Every Sunday, the women would take the children to a temple to worship service or go anytime church activities would occur. As you would assume, women would still get looked down on even in the church setting by other attendees. Equality was a major issue back in the late 1800’s and continued till the early 1900’s. Marches and community events would arise often due to women wanting equality for themselves. Up until 1918, women weren’t able to vote. After all the hard work that the women endured, they won in the end by all being equal. From then on, they found a sense of confidence, self-esteem, and love for themselves. Not only did women further their education when available, they joined clubs, lectures, and reading events to gain any knowledge they could. In the present day, looking at everyone complaining of having to go to school, it’s an honor to be able to further my education through college to make a difference in the world. It was crazy how teachers finally got an opportunity to express their feelings the way they wanted, since they couldn’t before. So after the
