Causes of World War 2 The causes of World War 2 was something that happened during the 1900’s. Many people believed that this all happened for a reason, which it did. Although, there were many reasons why World War 2 had started. Some were, The League of Failure of Nations, Pearl Harbor, and The Holocaust. First of all, in order to fully understand World War 2, people need to know how it began. WW2 lasted up to 7 years of war. Somehow, Hitler, who was in charge of the holocaust, had declared this war to begin. He brought a great impact on Great Britain and France (History.com staff).”World War 2 started in September 1939 when both France and Britain declared war on Germany as a result of its invasion of Poland. Despite Germany instigating World War 2, the causes that led to the war are more intricate. “On World War 2’s Eastern Front, a Soviet counter offensive launched in November 1942, ended the bloody battle of Stalingrad, which had seen some of the fiercest combat of the war. The approach of winter, along with dwindling food, medical supplies, spelled the end for German troops there, and the last of them surrendered on January 31,1943”(History.com staff). While WW2 was going on, there had been a lot going on. British and German were the ones who were causing some sort of shipping, but however, boats had been sinking almost up to 4 months, which was in the beginning of World War Two (History.com staff). “On the part of Germany and the allies of the west led to talk in the news media of a “Phony War”.
