3. What would you say is your greatest talent or skill? How have you developed and demonstrated that talent over time?
A talent/skill i may have obtained over the years was how i am able to look at things through a lot of different people’s perspective. For example back then if someone may have came up to me with a serious situation and the old me would’ve gone and gave the easy way out type of answer, while the new me wouldn’t give an answer until i’ve viewed the situation from multiple standpoints. A way that i’ve honed this skill and been able to be a key factor with it in certain scenarios was once in my freshman year of high school, a friend of mine had gotten jumped by a group of students and he always felt revenge was the way to go but i had talked him out of it and to him to let karma come back around to them and he did, he felt that the karma thing would never work but the next day those same kids had gotten called up and arrested because some who had witnessed it and spoke out. I feel that this had shown growth as a skill of mine as time came along because ever since then i had realized that i could help friends out and avoid them from being taken over by anger and possibly make the avoid them from making a decision they’d regret making.
5. Describe the most significant challenge you have faced and the steps you have taken to overcome this challenge. How has this challenge affected your academic achievement?
When I think of a significant challenge, the thing which stands out in my mind is one of the biggest change in my life which was moving to the United States. I was in 11th grade in Pakistan before I migrated to the U.S. I had to retake that grade. I felt bad to be one year behind, but later I started to participate actively in all my classes, but the change of the type of study was the biggest obstacle in my way to get educated and be successful. There are many differences between the education here and the one in Pakistan. There were a series of challenges I faced after settling into the school like meeting new people and getting along with them. Because I was shy, it was hard for me to get along with others whom I didn’t even know. I knew
The most significant challenge I have faced was when I was growing up was reading. Reading is one of the most important things it was hard for me to say some words that I thought I was never gonna learn to read ever even if they were just small words or big words I struggle so much while growing up. When I was
Please describe your most challenging academic or professional experience and your response to that experience. *
Throughout my life I faced a lot of challenges. I had to overcome the obstacle that was on my way. The obstacle made me stronger and made me the person who I am right now a ambitious and hardworking student. The problem shaped me up because I know that I have to work for what I want and to not depend on no one, this made me more independent. Also, I learned from my mistake and try to do better.
A. The major conflict I have trouble overcoming is maintaining my grades. With my grades, I, in general, try to maintain them above 75 percent. This is occasionally strenuous when they drop two or three percent. In my math class, this persists to be an issue because my grade declines below passing.
I believe that one skill which I have which I am strong at is my communication skills. This is because I am comfortable talking to new people and expressing new thoughts and ideas.
My greatest skill is my determination which I demonstrate in different areas of my life. In my education I use this skill to be a overachieving student that sets high standards for grades and takes advantage of every extra credit opportunity available. At home I use this skill to help my mother with different chores and to help take care of my younger siblings. The Watsonville Ivy League Project is an organization that takes the “cream of the crop” to go visit the Ivy league schools I got accepted but needed to fundraise for the trip. My skill helped afford the trip throughout selling breakfast burritos. On Wednesdays I would wake up at four in the morning and begin to cook egg with either potato or chorizo for the burrito filling . A challenge

Branching from this is what I also believe to be my second strength: having genuine hope. I’ve been fortunate to work at being an optimistic individual, often times relating myself to the “hope” bird that is mentioned in Emily Dickinson’s poem “Hope is the thing with feathers.” Because of this, I’ve had the fortune to experience the positive emotions as well, something which I believe is important when working with clients as I think it’s a common occurrence where hope and happiness are often thought of as a distant memory when times are
I also have the ability to shift gears and go from one job to another or to adjust to different types of environments quickly without losing focus. Working alongside other professionals or alone proficiently are also skills I have acquired as a student.
A challenge I have faced would be in AP English as a junior. In first semester of this class would be I was struggling with writing and my grade was reflecting my struggle. My first times write was 1-2 on a 9 point scale which was not a grade I was used to coming from a 10 Honors class. Later on my we received our grades for the 6 weeks, on this grade report I was at a sixty three percent. My teacher said there would be a little chance I cool raises that grade to a C-. This challenge in improving my writing and grade was a struggle that I overcame.
Another one of my current strengths would be that I am very detail oriented and specially in a clinical setting, can be quite useful. Being able to pay attention to minor details can be the best way to assess a patient and find the best method of working with them.
When it comes to who I am in my career, a few of my strengths shine through more than others. For example, I put everything I have in to my work and into my career, and looking back at how I’ve worked in the past compared to now, I see my strengths restorative and developer.
The most significant challenge I have faced was balancing my academics and sports. I have been involved in the boy's soccer program at Palm Desert High School since my freshman year and each season has proven to be a test for me academically. I must say that attempting to balance my school work and soccer during my freshman and sophomore year has taken a toll on my academic achievement. It is unfortunate, however, I learned many things that will benefit me in the future. It was difficult because stress and anxiety amounted on top of all the school work and assignments that needed to be completed with the little time I had in my hands. Each season lasted around four months and during those four months, I accumulated bad habits. I procrastinated
for me, these talents are represented through my top five strengths that were given to me from a test I took. Two of my signature strengths that I think best fit me and are the ones that will help me be successful are Competition and Analytical. Competition by definition is when someone measures their progress against the performance of others, they also strive to win first place and revel in contests. Growing up playing competitive sports at a young age is what I believe led me to be in the competitor I am now. I think my Competition strength not only best describes me but, it may also be my best feature that I can tie into to my daily life to reach success and the goals I have set forth. Being competitive got me where I am today. I’ve be running for nearly my whole life, this year makes 11 years that I have been running track and cross country and it has truly paid off for me in the biggest ways. I think that having the competitive nature will always help down the line in life. When having the competitive nature my talent is valuable because it will influence and even push people in a group to achieve more than others. I will also bring energy to a group and will be capable of energizing others to move to higher levels of excellence. Also, being competitive also gives me capability of adaptation go different obstacles of life. It often applies to the class room such as seeking out highly competitive people and study with them. You will know that you will push each other to learn more, faster. Because of hardships and challenges I have faced during my running career I feel as if I will be prepared well enough for anything coming fast at a me in life, which will also help me achieve success in the
