Ziggy heard screams, looked up, and saw a woman falling towards him from the bright, blue sky. The tall woman was screaming as she realized these were her last few seconds of life; Ziggy was witnessing them. The woman was wearing a green helmet, black goggles, a green suit, and had a tan lumpy pack on her back. Ziggy assumed the woman was falling from the sky because of a skydive that went wrong. As the hot, dark pavement was becoming closer and closer to her, 5 police cars, 2 ambulances, and 1 firetruck showed up. As quickly as they possibly could, the 5 firefighters and 10 police officers set up a mesh net so the woman would fall into it. She was about 20 feet from the ground now and a police officer talked into a mega phone, “Don’t be scared. …show more content…
The woman was not making any sounds or even small movements, except the movement of her chest moving up and down as she breathed. The police officers quickly and carefully grabbed her from the net and laid her on a light gray, cold stretcher. The EMTs and paramedics announced that she was not breathing very well and was unconscious, and then set the woman inside the first ambulance. Bam! The doors were shut and the ambulance was started up. Quickly the EMTs and paramedics drove north towards the Hodan City hospital. If you find out any information please come and contact us.” the man stated as the woman and him went back to a police car and drove away. They were the last ones to leave and Ziggy was all alone. He decide to jog home. On the way home he passed a flower shop and bought 3 yellow tulips and 3 pink carnations that he would give to the woman at the hospital. He then carefully jogged the rest of the way home, which wasn’t that far, trying not to wreck the beautiful smelling flowers that he got.
Ziggy opened up his front door and was greeted by his energetic, happy, 2 year old golden retriever. Ziggy lived alone with his pup Ginger and wasn’t planning on staying in this town long as he loved traveling the world. He petted Ginger softly for a few seconds and then took his running shoes off and set them on the shoe rack against the dark grey wall. He walked over to his white marble counter and set the colorful flowers down. He walked through his living room into his small bright room. He changed out of his sweaty clothes and took a cold, quick shower to smell better. Ziggy then put on fresh, good-smelling clothes and went back in his big kitchen where he put the wonderful flowers into his favorite glass vase and added water into it to keep the flowers healthy. Ziggy grabbed the vase with the flowers in it, his phone, and his keys and went out to his dark

In the” Stories Hollywood Never Tells”, Zinn is talking about those who have not the word in the official history: slaves, Indians, peasants, deserters, textile workers, trade unionists and pacifists - those who have scored victories sometimes wiped defeats often, but which, in any case, have been carefully erased textbooks. The historian Zinn argues that Hollywood has become too pro-military and too pro-business in their approach in movies, and that more movies should be geared toward the average-Joe of America. As the years progress, the more well to do increase their grip into Americas culture and twist it into their liking. The only way Hollywood would start making films geared toward the middle class and show a film about Americans rising up and opposing the powers that be

As she rounds the corner she looks up only in time to see a white Lincoln town car barreling towards her and barely manages to jump backwards as it screeches to a stop right where she had been standing a few second ago. A tall, young black man hops out of the car and walks over to Zuri asking “Are you all right?” as he reaches out his hand to help her up. “Yeah I think so.” She replies as she gets up and dust herself off and looks around for her keys. “What you looking for?” the young man asks. “My keys I lost them when I jumped out of the way” she tells the young man as she continues to search for the keys.

It started on April 23, 2006 around 11:15 a.m. The wind was calm, it was cloudy and humid, and the warm air was finally kicking in. Around 32nd and Halsted, we heard a loud crashing sound. We ran toward the noise and found a cloud of smoke surrounding a totaled white Range Rover truck. As the smoke cleared, I realized a woman was hurt inside. However, her heart was still beating slowly. Immediately I called 911 and ensured an ambulance and police would arrive shortly. While taking her last breaths, she murmured a word I could not make out. It almost sounded like alley.

My supervisor, one of the head nurses, hurriedly pulled me to the corner of the bleach white hospital room and directed me to put on gloves, an eye mask, and a face mask. I felt as if I was preparing for war as I put on all of the required gear. The sound of expensive shoes click-clacked down the hallway indicating the arrival of two doctors who rushed into the room and shouted out orders to the staff while pulling the doors to the room shut along with the curtains. Two doctors, eight nurses, an intern, and a dying patient squeezed into the already claustrophobic ten by fifteen-foot room. The machine monitoring the patient’s vital signs continued to beep incessantly as my heart rate accelerated. Throughout my internship, I had never seen a patient in critical condition until that moment. I remembered my teacher’s advice if we were ever in a situation such as this: take a few deep breaths and sit down if you feel like you’re going to pass out. In that
