Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan in my opinion, was the greatest basketball player that ever lived. He holds more records than just about everyone that ever played this sport. Some of those records included: being the all-time leading scorer in the Chicago Bulls history, most seasons in which he lead the league in scoring, which was ten, and most consecutive seasons in which he lead the league in scoring, which was seven seasons.
Michael Jeffery Jordan was born on February 17, 1963 in the city of Brooklyn, New York. Michael was not always the greatest player on the court; he had to work for every bit of it. After moving from Brooklyn to Wilmington, North Carolina MJ decided to go out for the high school

It was not until 1991 that the bulls won their first championship with MJ. They went on to win two more in the next two following seasons. With Phil Jackson as their coach the Bulls owned the early 90’s. They were unstoppable, as long as they had MJ of course. In 1993 Jordan shook the media as well as the fans when he announced his retirement. For two years Michael sat out from basketball, playing golf, baseball, and spending time with his family. After those two years Michael made the decision to return to the game he loved so much. The bulls did not win any championships in those two years that Jordan was gone but as soon as he returned they won three more, still under coach Phil Jackson. After those three titles Jordan considered retiring once more. He is now retired, but recently he has been reconsidering coming back once more.
Michael Jordan has definitely had a great positive impact on our American society, more so than any other sports figure that I have ever seen. He has been a perfect role model ever since he stepped into the spotlight of the United States; he has always represented our country with great pride. One case would be in the 1992 summer Olympics, Jordan along with several other basketball greats like, Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson dominated the Games with such finesse that it was a great treat just to watch these individuals win the gold medal. Even with
Firstly, Michael Jordan’s whole entire career was incredible. All those years of him soaring through the air slamming the basketball ball with absolute authority, and owning the rim. He took controlled of the game basketball with acrobatic drives at the rim that defy the laws of
Michael Jordan, in his prime, was thought of as one of the greatest basketball champions of all time. A shooting guard, standing at six-six, Jordan was able to out play anyone in his position. He started his career at the University of North Carolina, where he helped his team win a national championship. He then was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 1984-85 season. While playing for the Bulls, Jordan received many awards such as, MVP, five championships, Olympic gold medals, slam dunk contests, and many more defensive and offensive awards. Jordan simply dominated the nineties and left the game as a NBA Finals winner in 1998.
Michael Jordan has an impeccable taste in clothes, He always looks good and he prides himself to be a “fashion freak”. Michael Jordan is also the best but it not all about they way he plays but the good charisma that Jordan has. Michael Jordan, who took the shooting guard position on the Chicago Bulls, is different from other NBA players. The personality that Michael Jordan has, the attitude that he has while he is on the court, and his unbelievable, and very good moves had make him so famous, so unique, so perfect. Michael Jordan won six championships. Michael Jordan is a person that would never get angry, every time Jordan sees his fans, he shakes hands with them, if the fans ask for his autograph, he is willing to do so and Michael always is happy about it. While Michael Jordan is on the court, Mike acts like a different person. He becomes aggressive, he also focuses on his playing, and he becomes unstoppable. All of the NBA fans admire how Michael Jordan makes those unstoppable moves.
Leading the Bulls to another three-peat Jordan retired a second time in 1999 ending his career on a high note. Labor disputes between NBA players and team owners, and the eventual breakup of the Bulls dynasty were the reasons he called it quits. After a brief hiatus from basketball Jordan returned to the NBA in 2000 not as a player, but as part owner and president of basketball operations for the Washington Wizards. His record as the president of the Washington Wizards was horrendous. His time running the Wizards began in 2000, and he had the final say in personnel matters, such as drafting mega-bust Kwame Brown with the number one pick in 2001. Seeing the rise of young stars like Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, and Tracy Mcgrady, and the decline of his status as a player Jordan decided he wanted to return to the court. The next year he began comeback number three. After two disappointing seasons with the Wizards Jordan retired for the last time in 2003. Assuming he would get his job back as the team president, but after doing such a terrible job at team management and evaluating talent team owner Abe Pollin dismissed Jordan. In his three-plus seasons as an executive and player with the Washington Wizards, Jordan's teams were 110-179.
LeBron James was born December 30, 1984 in a poor neighborhood in Akron, Ohio (Smithwick 6). His mother gave birth to him when she was 16 and still in high school (Smithwick 6). All this goes back to how he was born in a
Michael built the Chicago Bulls from the ground up and transformed them into the unstoppable team that people saw during the late 80’s and early 90’s. The Bulls of the 90’s were a team that, regardless of your team loyalty, you had to watch Michael Jordan. His achievements during that time set a bar that was unreachable for other players. From the time he retired the 2nd time, sportswriters have been looking for someone to replace him someone to fill in for Michael.
On March 18, 1995, Jordan announced that he would be playing basketball again. He ended his short baseball career and rejoined the Bulls near the end of the 1994-1995 regular season, eventually losing to the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Michael Jordan was the greatest because of his amazing statistics, his undeniable ability to win, and his lasting effect on the NBA. It will be a very long time, if ever, that there will be a player who was better than Jordan. While there are very many people in the NBA that are extremely talented, none of them stand
Throughout basketball history, there have been many amazing players to be a part of the NBA. The NBA, also known as the National Basketball Association, is not only the foremost men’s professional basketball league in North America, but is also widely considered to be the top-ranking men’s professional basketball league in the world. One of the most controversial topics in the history of NBA today is whether Michael Jordan or LeBron James is the best player to ever be a part of this association. James began his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers and currently plays for the Miami Heat. Jordan played for the Chicago Bulls for most of his career; however, he played for the Washington Wizard’s from age 38 to 40. According to the New York Times, Jordan announced his retirement in Chicago on January 13th of 1999 (D8). Although LeBron James is one of the best players to be currently active in the league, Michael Jordan is known to be the best player in NBA history. Both player, without a doubt, have left a mark in the history of NBA, Michael Jordan, indisputably, is the best player to ever play in the NBA with his unstoppable defensive and offensive ability along with the determination and leadership he provided for his team.
He dedicated his life to the game of basketball and to the Chicago Bulls. There is no question that Jordan leaving hurt the team. If he had not, the Bulls would have been NBA champions seven or eight times depending on the period of his departure, and he would have gotten two more NBA finals MVP awards instead of Hakeem Olajuwon. Overall it is safe to conclude that my statement of Michael Jordan’s time off affecting the team poorly is now an ideal
During his first season with the bulls, Michael became a fan favorite averaging 28.2 points per game. He was nominated to play on the NBA All-Star team and won rookie of the year. Jordan's second season was cut short when he broke his foot. Despite his injury, the Bulls still made to the playoffs. Michael recovered just in time to perform great and make NBA history. He
During his adulthood he has chosen basketball to play and has gotten much better. During basketball he has won the most valuable player award five times. He would never let his guard down during the championships. He led the chicago Bulls to six National Basketball Association championships. He was one of the best players ever.
Jordan's presence on the Chicago Bulls immediately woke up the interest of the fans. The entire franchise was very enthusiastic and felt very positive about their future. He was such a great player that on his first season he won the rookie of the year award with 28.2 points per game. The Bulls had a losing record before they had Jordan. After the Bulls had Jordan, nothing else but good things began to happen for this franchise. He took the Bulls to the playoffs for five straight years in a row. But they would always loose to the Detroit Pistons or Boston Celtics. "One problem was that Jordan sometimes played at a level so above his teammates that the Bulls failed to function as a team" (Greene 8-9).
Michael Jordan's childhood. Michael Jordan was born on January 17, 1963. MJ grew up in Brooklyn,NY and NYC. MJ has two brothers and sisters. Their names are Deloris Jordan, Roslyn Jordan, Larry Jordan, and James R. Jordan Jr. The father and mother of Michael Jordan are James R. Jordan Sr. And Deloris Jordan. Michael Jordan had a strick life as a kid. But once here got into basketball things got a little bit easier.
Also Michael has done some crazy things players like Lebron James only dream of doing. He had 10 triple doubles in 11 games when the Bulls put him at point guard but he then went back to shooting guard because it is more comfortable for him. He has the highest. He has the most 30 point playoff games with 109 and when Jordan made it to the finals the Bulls won the championship every single time. In his last finals game ever the Bulls trusted him so much that he was the only person on the Bulls to even touch the ball in the last 40 seconds and hit a game winning shot. Also in every full season that he
