Morals Paper La’Constica University of Louisiana at Monroe Growing up in a southern baptist church is one of the major influences on my personal values. My great grandparents were the pastor and first lady. They were also two of the five founders of the church. No matter what I am doing or what life throws at me I revert back to my upbringing. I remember being so young learning the ten commandments and Psalms 23. I was taught at a very young age that Jesus is the son of God and he never sinned. It was etched into my head that I could be and should want to be like the son of God, without sin. I lived my life based on my Christian background until I was 17. I was a freshman at tech, I met a guy, and I sinned with him. I …show more content…
My mother told me that if you can not look at yourself in the mirror and still feel the same then it is wrong. I do believe that a lot of good things in my life have come from the wrong choices. Doing whats right and being right are some of the things that I consider right. Webster defines right as morrally good, justified, or acceptable. I was taught in my church that right stems from righteousness. . That being a righteous woman meant being a woman of God. Paul writes to the Romans that righteousness comes by faith: : “...a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘the Righteous will live by faith,’” It talks about God being righteous and that salvation is the foundation for righteousness. I agree with this whole hardedly, but I do not believe this is the only type of right. I believe doing what is considered the fair and just thing no matter what the consequenses are also means you are doing what is considered right. Good and bad is a little more complicated for me. I think right and wrong are clear cut, but with good and bad it is more of the perception of the person commiting the act. What I am taught is good may be considered bad in another part of the world. It can also work in the reverse. I was taught that being a teen parent was bad, but my great grandmother who is 66 years older than I was married at 13 and had a child at 15.
According to Nietzsche, the right and wrong (good and bad, good and EVIL) are just a type of the concept. Nietzsche explains that from the beginning in his first argument that the “good” did not originate among those to whom goodness was shown. It explains that the trait of “good” was really a trait as we know it today, it was actually people who were good themselves, which is Aristocratic who are powerful, high minded and high class people who controls the class below them and also politics in some cases. This was the concept that defined what right and wrongs were because it cleared things out that good was really a trait but the people who were powerful and high class in society, unlike bad which was completely opposite. But over the time

The thought of incorporating personal interests in traditional academic studies is certain to conjure images of an exciting and creative learning environment. These images can leave individuals with a different perception of what true academic structure may be. For American author Gerald Graff, re-developing traditional academic courses to attract personal learning styles is the best way to gain the interest of students and increase their ability to retain knowledge. In contrast, traditional educators argue that learning is best accomplished through academic resources and successfully fulfilling core requirements. By ignoring the complex relationship between personal interest and academic knowledge, traditional educators negatively impact academia by rejecting the opportunity to develop a diverse and creative student population, isolating students that lack academic knowledge and dismissing effective techniques that have educational merit in augmenting critical thinking skills.

The ten beliefs of my personal credo are that I believe that: death is not the end, we should not judge others, you should pray not when you have to but when you want to, you should be happy, I believe in love, I believe in family, in my guardian angel, and that a good person cares about nature. However, most of all, I believe in God. I believe that death is not the end because after we die, our remains become part of the soil that makes up the Earth or the very atoms that compose the stars. What we are, what we are made of, lives on in another form. So although our human form may die, we never truly cease to exist. We continue to be a part of the universe in a different form. I believe that we should not judge others because we never completely know
As human beings, we all have our own values, beliefs and attitudes that we have developed throughout the course of our lives. Our family, friends, community and the experiences we have had all contribute to our sense of who we are and how we view the world. As community services workers, we are often working with people who are vulnerable and/or who may live a lifestyle that mainstream society views as being different or unacceptable. If, as community services workers, we are to provide a service that meets the needs of our target groups and helps them to feel empowered, we need to be aware of our own personal values, beliefs and attitudes and be prepared to adopt the professional values of our

Being good or doing good things leads to many things, but in order to give a clearer definition, one must understand what it is that these good actions created. Once one understands this, then the individual can clearly see the logic behind what some would consider an evil action. Over time, humankind has strived to become what they believed to be holy pure or good. This attempt at being what is virtuous has given birth to a set code of conduct or thoughts that are now commonly seen as the right thing. This code of conduct was based upon morals, which are any given individuals thoughts and believes on what is acceptable as good and evil. Due to the fact that mankind also strives to be accepted by there peers, a common set of morals was established and agreed upon by any specific generation of people to be the good thing. Understanding and knowing these the morals of these given times in history will be necessary to understanding how to define evil.

Out of My Later Years is a collection of essays written by Albert Einstein that provides an insight into Albert Einstein’s reality. The essays are organized into three parts: Convictions and Beliefs, Science, Public Affairs. Each part is composed of several short chapters that question and thoroughly analyze each subject. In Part 1: Convictions and Beliefs, Einstein describes his contempt for the praise he gets as a scientist and how the hate received from the public has no effect on him.
The word good can be a variety of things, but the actual meaning is to be desired or approved of. Although on the other hand, the word evil means profound immorality, wickedness, and depravity, especially when regarded as a supernatural force. Based on the relationship between good and evil I believe that evil implies good but good does not imply evil. Good is its own measure, Good is not measured by evil. We do not determine how good something is based upon an evil standard. On the other hand, evil is measured by good. Without a good standard to begin with, there is no way we can call something evil. To call something evil, we must know the good.
Ezequiel Pagan Patrick Williams English 111 16 October 2014 Family Value and Truth Family in society is a social structure. Family plays a key role in human life because it can give people a sense of home, or a loving and supportive group. In most cases when people think of families they think of having a mom, dad, brother, sister. However, nothing in life is perfect. Today, we have separated , same sex, extended, and blended families. Society tries to explain these more contemporary families but has a harsh way of doing so. In the essay, Stone Soup, by Barbara Kingsolver, she discusses how society views families and in the essay, Family Values, by Richard Rodriguez, he talks about American family values. Both
