Hi, I have been given this circuit to analyse (see picture attached) and I solved the first part using KVL by finding i1= +1.984A, i2= - 0.215 and i3= -1.769. I now need to find Vab for which I have been given the solution: VAB = VAC + VCB= (2 – i1) + (4 + 3 i2). What I don't understand is why in this equation there is a minus in front i1. When I did the same equation but I had a plus I didn't get the right result, but I don't see why Vac seems to be a subtraction rather than a sum. I hope you can help me figure this out.
