Cash flow from Invetsing activity means the cash inflow or outflow made by an organisation in purchase of fixed assets, giving loans, purchase and sale of stock and receiving dividend. These assets are done to invest in long-term assets.

Cash collection from customers is a part of cash flow from operations because it arises out of day to day transactions. Hence it wll not be included in investing activities
