Describe client/server architecture including its components

Expert Solution
Step 1

client/server architecture

The computer network architecture allows a number of clients (remote machines) to request and accept services from a centralized server, known as the host computer. In this way, multiple client machines can be connected to a server residing over a network using an internet connection.

The interface in client computers helps users to request server services and shows the outcome returned by the server. The server is capable of hosting, delivering, and managing services or resources that are used by the client machines.

The server can be a mail server, web server, or file server.  The server is providing services to its clients that are laptops, desktops, smartphones, or tablets.
