Expert Solution
Step 1

Muscle is a soft tissue which is found in most animals. The tissues comprise muscle fibre called myofibril that are composed of actin (thin) and myosin (thick) filament. The bundle of myofibril is one unit called sarcomere. The protein myosin, has 2 heavy chains, and 2 pairs of light chains intertwined with myosin heads at the end which helps in binding to the actin. Actin is a globular protein with intertwined double strands covered by tropomyosin and consists of troponin protein. Tropomyosin inhibits the attachment between actin and myosin when the muscle is inactive. Upon  contraction and relation of the muscle fibre energy is generated which produces force and motion.

Three types of muscles:
  • Skeletal Muscle.
  • Smooth Muscle.
  • Cardiac Muscle.
