Expert Solution
Introduction:

Process of photosynthesis in plants is complicated oxidation-reduction process. In this, process oxidation of water and reduction of carbon dioxide takes place. it consists of two phases , i.e, photochemical phase or light reaction and biosynthetic phase or dark reaction.

Dark reaction is light independent reaction . It involves biochemical reduction of carbon dioxide to form carbohydrates. It occurs in the stroma of the chloroplast. Each step of this process is controlled by enzymes. Dark reaction in green plants may occur as C3 pathway, C4 pathway or CAM pathway.
