Expert Solution
Step 1

Fatigue is considered to be a main factor affecting the musculoskeletal system due to its association with decreased knee proprioception and increased joint laxity in turn decreasing the capability of the skeletal muscle to generate force production.

The high risk of injury at the ankle in netball is one that has been given the most attention both by re-searchers and athletes. External ankle supports (prophy-lactic ankle brace; high top shoes) are commonly used in an attempt to protect the ankle joint or to prevent further injury with their most important function being to ensure the necessary stability to avoid inversionn Ijuries. Ankle (knee) braces have been shown to be effective in restricting frontal plane motion at the ankle in a netball specific landing tasks and have been shown to significantly reduce the occurrence of ankle sprains in athletes and particularly those with a history of ankle in-jury, although not specifically in netballers.
