Buddhism is a religion that has its origin in India during the 6th and 4th centuries BCE. The Buddhists follow the ideals set by Gautam Buddha who is also the founder of this religion. The basic teaching of Buddha incorporated The Three Universal Truths, The Four Noble Truths, and The Noble Eightfold Path. The Buddha's teachings peacefully spread across the Indian subcontinent, and from there all over Asia. There are two major types of Buddhism mainly Theravada Buddhism and Mahayana Buddhism.
