BIBLIOGRAPHY...
GENERAL RULES:
1. Arrange items in alphabetical order by author's surname. Use title if there is no
author given.
2.
Do not number your entries and do not list books, encyclopediae, magazines,
websites etc. separately.
3.
Leave a single line between the item details and the annotation and a double line
between each item. Indent annotation by 5 spaces.
4. Indent by 5 spaces second (and subsequent) line of each entry.
5. Use correct punctuation and spacing. Check the Bell High School Style Guide for
examples of different types of sources.
ADDING ANNOTATIONS:
Write a brief 3-4 sentence paragraph in which you:
1. summarize the central idea of the source (what is the content?)
2. explain how the source connects to your topic and thesis (how it will be useful?)
3. comment on any other aspect of the source such as the authority of the author,
how it compares to another source you are using, or any other interesting elements.
