Gout is difficult to accurately diagnosis; traditionally this disorder has been diagnosed by physician review of clinical signs (testing of joint fluid) and symptoms. It is unknown whether diagnostic imaging tests are reliable diagnostic tools for gout. The purpose of this diagnostic imaging tests (dual emission computerized tomography and plain x-ray) in 50 patients, 18 or older that have a confirmed diagnosis of gout currently being treated at SBUH. The 50 patients will first have an x-ray then the dual emission computerized tomography test. _pilot study is to compare the accuracy of different Hypothesis: There will be significant differences in the diagnostic accuracy of clinical signs (testing of joint fluid) and symptoms diagnostic methods and diagnostic imaging testing methods (dual emission computerized tomography and plain x-ray)? Design: Methods: sampling: data collection: data analysis: Would this study have inclusion/exclusion criteria: justify response?
