I have one question about pd (partial discharge) I wonder to calculate charge transfer q or energy dissipated in the void, do voltage drop matter? Or I just use maximum voltage. For example, When pd occurs if the voltage across the void drops from 1000v to 100v. I will use 1000V in 1/2 CV^2 to calculate the energy, is that correct? Or use delta V 900 instead?
