If political scientists are unwilling to do thinkpieces, what good are we on the great questions of the day, questions for which data are missing, mistaken, or incomplete?
The general understanding of research in political science is dependent on data. The universities around the world have divided them into qualitative and quantitative research methodology groups.
The larger questions, where data is scarce, are being left out from the research ambit. But, there are interdisciplinary approaches that are coming in to change this reality.
