Expert Solution

Introduction:
HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) is a type of treatment used to speed up severe injuries and disorders in which tissues are oxygen-depleted. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is breathing almost pure oxygen in a dedicated room or small chamber. Its principal usage is to treat diving-related sickness, although it may also help people recover from other illnesses. In the case of anaerobic bacterial infection, the increased oxygen content of the tissues blocks further bacterial multiplication and production of toxins while simultaneously promoting healing.
