The dig tool is typically included as part of Unix, Linux, and MacOS installations and can also be installed on Windows machines. If you only have access to Windows and do not wish to deal with installing dig on your device, I suggest that you simply use your account on zeus.gmu.edu or mason.gmu.edu, which are both Linux servers. Read the man page for dig and then answer the following questions. (a) Starting with a root DNS server (from one of the root servers [a-m].root-servers.net), initiate a sequence of queries for the IP address for the ECE department's Web server by using dig. Show the list of the names of the DNS servers in the delegation chain in answering your query. (b) Repeat part (a) for google.com, yahoo.com, and amazon.com.
