The primary memory is of two types one is RAM (Random Access Memory) and the other is ROM (Read-only Memory).
RAM is also known as Main Memory. The main memory is used to store the information/data that are currently in use. The main memory is volatile in nature. It means that the data stored in the main memory is deleted when the power is off.
