CASE STUDY The management of McDonald's established a team of 15 to spearhead a project for implementation of a management information system (MIS). This committee was tasked with looking at technology in the company as well as current technology that could be relevant for integration into the firm's MIS, identifying training needs and then determining how the firm would acquire the most appropriate technology. The existing system includes miscellaneous formats of monitoring, project-level monitoring, auditor-controller and physically monitoring progress.
