After the death of Abraham Lincoln in 1865 Andrew Johnson was elected as the new President of the United States of America. President Johnson presents a new reconstruction plan for southern states and newly freed slaves. In his plan, he gave the southern white People's a free hand in regulating the transition from slavery to freedom and also ensure no Political rights For black in the south. Johnson's reconstruction plan was just the opposite of Abraham Lincoln's reconstruction plan. Abraham ensure much freedom and protection for the New free southern slave whereas Johnson's plan gave less protection to freed slaves than the Radical Republicans plan.  Johnson's reconstruction plan was failed when southern state legislatures implemented Black Code law. Under the administration of President Andrew Johnson, the new southern states legislature passed the restrictive Law called "Black Code". This law was passed to control the labor and behavior of formerly enslaved people and African Americans. Northern states show outrage at this law. Not only this between 1865 and 1870 Radical I who have a 2/3 majority in both houses of congress, passed So many bills and amendments that make Reconstruction policies more radical, like the 13th Amendment in 1865, 14th Amendment in 1868, and the 15th Amendment in 1870. Even the opposition of first-time elected Black African members could not stop these policies from being passed. These new Reconstruction policies and violent reactions restored white supremacy in the south.
