Expert Solution
Step 1

Given:-

The Shaded region between the graphs of y = - 2x2 + 20 and y = 3x - 15

Now, - 2x2 + 20 = 3x - 15

2x2 + 3x - 20 - 15 = 0

2x2 + 3x - 35 = 0

2x2 + 10x - 7x - 35 = 0

2x (x + 5) - 7 (x + 5) = 0

(x + 5) (2x - 7) = 0

x + 5 = 0 ; x = -5

2x - 7 = 0 ; x = 7/2 = 3.5

So, The shaded region lies between x = -5 and x = 3.5
