it a particular way of organizing data in computer so we can use that data in effective way or we can say that it is organizing the data in memory there are many ways to organizing data in memory data structure is not any programming language like c or c++ , java etc it is a set of algorithms that we can use in programming language to struct the data in the memory . each data structure contains information about the data values , relationship between the data and functions that can be applied to the data . data structures can be linear or nonlinear or it can be static or dynamic
