Expert Solution
Step 1
Blood pressure is the force of blood flow in the blood vessels. When the blood moves through the arteries, it presses against the artery walls. The blood pressure measures how hard the blood is pushing against the artery walls. The normal blood pressure is 80 to 120 mm Hg.
The lower limit is the diastolic pressure and the higher limit is the systolic pressure. Diastole represents the relaxation of the heart and the systole represents the contraction of heart.
The pulse rate is the number of heartbeats per minute. The normal pulse rate (at rest) of an adult is 60 to 80 beats per minute.
