Question
What is the most common form of skin cancer which is not related to sun exposure?
Expert Solution
Step 1
Cancer is a medical condition in which a cell divides infinitely and abnormally to form a mass of cells called tumour. The abnormal differentiation of cells usually occurs due to the mutation in the genome caused naturally or synthetically.
Two types of tumours formed are Benign, in which the mass of the cell remains at the point of origin. Metastatic, in which the mass of a cell progresses from the point of origin and spreads to the other parts of the body. This is called invasive tumour.
Skin cancer is the abnormal growth of the skin cells which is most often caused by the UV radiation emitted by the sun.
