Calvin cycle or C3 cycle is a metabolic cycle which takes place in plants and is a primary cycle which involves fixation of three molecules of carbon dioxide to form one molecule of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate using ATP and NADPH + H+.

It has three basic steps i.e. carbon fixation, reduction and regeneration.
