Ecosystem: It is a collaboration of living organisms such as plants and animals with non-living things in nature. Ecosystem is mainly composed of 2 things : Biotic / living factors and abiotic/ non-living factors.

1) Biotic component include: plants, animals, microorganism

2) Abiotic component include: temperature, light, water, soil, salinity etc.

To form an ecosystem both factors are equally important as they are interdependent on each other.

Ecosystems can be either natural or artificial (man-made). For example: Grasslands, forests, desserts, coral reefs are natural ecosystems. While Crop lands, gardens, aquariums, zoo are artificial ecosystems.
