With resin bonding, how does the unbonded web is treated?

Expert Solution
Step 1

Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored composite resin is used to correct chipped, broken, cracked, stained teeth as well as fill the spaces between them. The tooth is roughened using a conditioning gel that is helpful in adhering the composite resin to the tooth. The resin attached is molded, and smoothed to the desired shape and is then cured with an ultraviolet light. The bonding lasts for 4 to 8 years on average. Teeth bonding takes about 30 to 60 minutes per tooth.
