• (x2,y2) is the coordinates of second point.

Formula to calculate the equation of line having a slope and x intercept is,

y=m(xa) (2)

Here,

• (x,y) is the coordinate of point which lie on the line.
• a is the x intercept.

Calculation:

At the point of x intercept the value of y coordinate is zero.

Substitute -2 for x1 , 4 for y1 , 3 for x2 and 0 for y2 in equation (1) to find slope of line
