graduate high school in my family and plan to attend college in the Fall of 2017. I want to set the example for my family and come back and help future college students pursue their career. Attending college is something that is very important to me because I feel it is an opportunity to learn new things, expand my knowledge, meet new friends from diverse backgrounds, and learn about other people and their cultures while learning new things about myself. district wide policy with Alameda County to screen all A.A. students for stress and anxiety (See Appendix A). I had wanted to lead Alameda High School’s Ski Club as soon as I became a member in freshmen year. I experienced my first high school ski trip then. During this trip, I met new students from all grade levels and formed close bonds with them. While I had an amazing time skiing with peers at the same advanced level as myself, I noticed that the club seem to cater to a certain group of people. Something just didn’t feel quite right. interesting part about The Red Cross Leadership Development Camp is that it gives me a chance to enhance my leadership skills, meet new people, and present my new ideas to a group of people that share my interests. Also, it is a great opportunity for the high schoolers to gain communication skills and confidence.
