During this concert they covered the Duke Chorale which directed by Rodney Wynkoop, Duke University Wind Symphony that directed by Verena Mosenbichler- Bryant and Duke Symphony Orchestra that was directed by Harry Davidson. On Tuesday, Feb 28, the NMSU The Statesmen, Women’s Chorale, Chamber Choir, and University Singers presented a show called The Best of All Possible World, conducted by Christa Fredrickson. They performed various works: MADRIGALS, pieces from musicals, an ORGANUM piece, arranged by Fredrickson herself, as well as sacred text compositions and folk songs. I could imagine this piece being played in a gothic cathedral. The next part was “Trauersinfonie” by Richard Wagner was a song that was slower and had a sad tone color compared to the other composition. It is a stirring piece with a stately air. The Brigham Young University presentation of the University Chorale on December 10th consisted of two choirs: The University Chorale Evening choir, and the University Chorale Day choir.
